For those who feel that their life has been stolen
by stillin inyou maintained a level of personal decency and integrity that you almost certainly would not have had if you had chosen another direction.. sure, you would have had some very "colorful" friends and experiences if you had gone another way, but you still chose the more "edgy" people in the congregation as your friends and you still enjoyed yourself, even if there were a lot of phony constraints.. you looked for ways to be of value to others.
don't stop doing that!.
you kept the darker side of your personality in check.

I have my good memories of growing in the borg but I also have memories of pain, lack of love, self-righteousness, distrust towards me, and feelings of wanting to die. To me the bad things overshadow the good few moments.

All religions say this in different ways and forms and the ones that believe it, fall victims to any organization that proclaims authority from God.
Once you understand that Jehovah's Witnesses have no authority over one’s self, that’s when the process of liberation starts regardless of all doctrinal errors they may have.
It is not a matter of doctrine, it is about understanding that they are just one more organization in this conglomerate of religions, and highly detrimental to its members.Forgot to mention that learnig TTATT or the Truth About The Truth, is not for the lazy people that are not willing to do some deep and thorough research.

I was "totally" stopped in my tracks by an "atheist" comment.
by booker-t ini must admit i can at times be a little "egotistical" when it comes to knowledge and the bible.
i have studied the bible for so long and have always had a passion for the bible as a jw and as an ex-jw.
i guess that is all i have left when it comes to religion and as humans we do tend to stroke our egos.

So your loving God knowing how evil Adolf Hitler was going to turn out, he allowed it anyway but did not in Noah's day. That is a flawed reasoning and it shows how unloving, uncaring, selfish, egotistical and murderer psychopath your God can be.

The City of Nazareth, and interesting find.
by Crazyguy ini was watching a video on youtube about chistianity and its founding and it came to my attention that the city of nazareth did not even excist when jesus was said to be alive.
it was'nt really anything accept a cemetary until about 200 ad.
so just like the city of goshen were the israelites were said to be from when they left egypt during the exodus, looks like another major flaw in the bible..
