  i just wanted to get a feel for how many here have awakened to ttatt but are still carrying on some jw activities to pacify them and keep the peace.

  also trying to hear from those who have left, but whose spouse has stayed in the wt and in the marriage.. for me it comes down to my own mental anguish.

  i am mentally tortured by attending the meetings, yet i feel compelled to because my wife would kill me with her personality if i had her drag 2 small girls by herself there.

  If our spouses new how much we truly love them… I love my wife to the extent that I do not care if she wants to stay as a Witness, or become a Baptist, Lutheran, Catholic, or just simply stop believing in these fairy tales. The ONE THING that bothers me is, that just because I don’t share her beliefs I am marked as the enemy, the villain, mentally diseased, crazy, worthless human being, sleazy and an evil traitor of her god and family.

  The manipulation of the GB is overwhelming and our families just don’t see it because they don’t want anyone to take away their precious dream of everlasting life in a JW.ORG paradise. I do admit that I used to be the same way, I would have shunned anyone who was labeled an apostate or weak in “The Truth”, that single thought is what helps me keep going and trying to stay calm and never answer with hate or anger when I talk about spurious beliefs.

  This is the reason I stopped praying a long time ago. I used my critical thinking skills and understood how cruel it is for me to think that I need God’s help to pay my rent this month, when you have millions of homeless people worldwide.

  Oh the pain of hearing this over and over and over again! My wife is the worst, when things are going well financially, good health, stability in the family, everyone is happy, then praise Jehovah! But when everything is going down south and everything seems to be just a cluster F*%* it is because we are doing something wrong and is making Jehovah saaaaaad…

  The solution… pray more, preach more, show that you are a zealous witness, give more comments, study the WT, read the bible, don’t doubt in Jehovah and repeat cycle.

  I was watching an interview with Ray Franz that he did in Spanish, he spoke briefly about 1799 but I could not recall what he was referring to, but thank you for the reminder blondie. It is amazing how all they did was move 1799 to 1914 as the "end times".
