  what were *your favorite *books in the organization?.

  out of all of those books, i liked "mankind's search for god.

  " however, it appears to me that this book is incredibly obscure and no one recalls studying it during the old book study format.

  Are there any ex-missionaries here??

  i have been a missionary in the dominican republic for almost 10 years and i was wondering if there were any ex-missionaries on this forum.. i am back in my country now for 3 years and totally inactive.. what i noticed in those missionary-years was the lack of spiritual interest among the missionaries.. discussions were about rooms, cars and greater responsibilities, the bad territory.

  and the local c.o.s and d.os.. was this only in the dr or are there other experiences??.

  Just found this thread Fulano, if you read this. Do you know if Pete Paschal is still around and doing well? When I was 12 he stayed many times at my house while he was visiting the cong. He was a sweet person and I have good memories of him and his wife. Actually, his wife could cook some good spaghettis.

  what can i learn from that?

  I might be suspicious of the Nasa and people in authority, but when you dig deep into this subject, you'll find more proof on Nasa side than otherwise. So I digress...

  So I was enjoying a business trip in down town Bangkok...............Next thing BANG!!!

  so last night i was having a wonderful meal in a very nice restaurant when we heard what we thought was a loud clap of thunder.................. it was a bomb.

  yards from my hotel.

  thankfully i made a few decision that meant i wasn't in the wrong place at the wrong time.

  Isn't it prudent to refrain from mocking until you have nonrefundable proof either way?

  NO! Why can't we mock what does not exist? you mock the evolution theory and accept coming from clay, talking snakes, poisonous fruits, good tree bad tree, the flood, the guy who died for us but is not dead.

  How exactly did the dna code, that if printed would stack 8 x 10 sheet of paper half way to the moon, come to exists if not for sky daddy or clay? You got a better explanation? Let's hear it big shot

  Remember the two elderly sisters?

  about a month ago i posted what had happened to two elderly sisters who were reprimanded by a couple of elders for crying because the jw broadcasting was going to be stopped at the kingdom hall and it was up to each publisher to learn how to use the internet.

  if you recall the sisters got together with my mom and talked about it and it resulted in all of them declining to make meals for the pioneers.

  at 20:00 - 21:30 in his testimony, mr. geoffrey jackson - in answer to mr. stewart's question about the governing body claiming to be god's spokespersons - claimed that it would be presumptuous of them to say that they were the only spokespersons which god was using.

  mr. jackson doesn't seem to know what he and his fellow g.b.

  members - and the providers of his lifestyle, the wtbts - actually teach as "bible truth.

  The irrational part of such a statement, is that Jesus never published billions of magazines and books saying he was the son of god

  Local (small) Baptist church bought my neighbor a car

  and elderly woman who lives across the street from me has had some hard economic times.

  her adult son got injured and had to move back in with her due to his inability to work.

  they are struggling.

In fact, I don't know if they are even active any longer.

  4 years ago, my wife and I lost our jobs due to the bad economy.We were in a new state, no close family around and were struggling. The Jdubs that truly helped us with food, shelter and money were the ones considered spiritually weak. The low level publishers are usually the more sincere and loving. On a side note, out of all 8 elders at the time, only 1 brought us some food.
