I really don't think that the WTS wants a high profile of their work. They are satisfied with secretly prying loose adherents to suck dry, low profile style. If they REALLY wanted the attention to their work, they certainly have the money to produce an hour long infomercial.
But now, especially with all the WTS sponsored mayhem going on in the news these days, surely it behooves them to keep their corporate asses shut as to avoid any adverse publicity.

by Gig init was just brought to my attention that herbert armstrong and the worldwide church of god are yet another "only us" religion.
have any of you ever studied him and his teachings and found similarities to the wt and gb?
this could prove helpful to me as my jw friend is familiar with armstrong having attended there as a child.

The 'hovah society is indeed between a rock and a hard place. With just a cursory look, it's obvious that HQ calls the shots and tells the locals what to do.
Any lawsuit filed against the local cong for botched whatever should include the Society. After all, it's every 'hovah's creedo that the WTS is 'hovah's chosen.

Seriously, it never ceases to amaze me how people are willing to adopt a wholly man-made org as their belief system and treat people how they're told.
I once turned my nose up at a sister I crossed paths with at the mall. A short time later, she died alone, with no one in the hall knowing about her extreme sickness and pain then death from breast cancer. I didn't learn of her death until after I was out.

Yes indeed, KH meeting are synonimous with hypnotism. But to single out the speaker would be awesome. "In the book of Isaiah it says ....I'm not an elder, I'm a chicken! BOCK buck buck buck buck BACOCK!" or,
"Let's turn to the book of matthew....GO HOME! Jehovah says GO HOME! And don't come back!"
or,
"The faithful slave says....What are we, ZOMBIES?! Go to school! get an education, fer Christ's sake!"
