Jeepers. I've visited Dealey Plaza and took the Book Depository tour. Frankly, I think I could have made those shots and I'm not a Marine trained marksman. Now that you mentioned Kennedy and Oswald, has anybody noticed that today's Democratic Party has turned away from the principals of John F Kennedy and embraced the principals of Lee Harvey Oswald? Just an observation.

To answer your question, yes. I believe there are entrenched people in the government who can, to a certain extent, influence what happens. Chuck Schumer referenced the deep state when he said, "You take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you." That sounds deep state-ish to me.

Curious - if the US is “doing poorly”, what does “doing well” look like?

That is hard to define and measure. Over 40% of the US population is obese. Over 10% of the population has diagnosed diabetes and 80 million more Americans are pre-diabetic. If the population was less obese and if fewer people had diabetes and other associated chronic conditions, would the effects of a COVID-19 on the population be less severe? Intuitively I would say yes although I freely admit I could be wrong. Maybe the key to fighting off COVID-19 is more obesity with the associated chronic conditions.

And yes, pistolpete, heart disease is also rampant. People with heart disease contracting COVID-19 is not a good combination and heart disease rates are rising with the obesity rate - go figure. There isn't a vaccine for heart disease because, like diabetes, heart disease is driven by lifestyle. Be thankful you are in good health so things like the COVID virus are easily fought off.

To be clear I'm referring to type-2 diabetes.

If 71% of youth are in that bad of shape, would it follow that the entire population is in bad physical shape to begin with? What happens if a virus such as COVID-19 infects an unhealthy population? Do lots of people die? Are so many Americans dying because we are a nation of lardasses? Will wearing a mask help me lose weight? Does social distancing lead to boredom and depression and cause people to binge watch Netflix while eating junk food? Are we in the feedback loop from hell?

I think any minor, as well as adult women, would be able to walk without consequence. They would simply have to say something like, "Given this organization's known history of sexual abuse, I am not comfortable being alone in this room with you men." Elders would be nuts to pursue somebody after that statement. A lawyer like Gloria Allred would have a field day. Sorry, adult males. Your are SOL as usual.

i’ve heard so much speculation from many jw’s on what will and won’t be allowed in the new system.

Wait a second. Don't jw's talk about having a pet lion AND a pet lamb anymore? And how the lion and lamb will hang out together because that is how you know you are in paradise?

I've seen the watchtower illustrations, the happiest people having a picnic. Their pet lion and lamb are frolicking about. And they are always way out in the country somewhere, no one else around. My question is, where are all the people? Isn't gawd going to resurrect most everyone who has ever lived? That would be around 100 billion people! Almost 15 times the number of current earthly occupants. Wouldn't a more accurate illustration reflect that reality with people living shoulder to shoulder? Maybe everyone will live in nice high-rise apartment buildings. My speculation of the "new system" is that it will look a lot like NYC's Times Square on New Years Eve.

If everyone in heaven is male, does this lead to homosexual activity? Isn't that what happens in prison? Because prisons are segregated by gender, some inmates who would be straight in the real world turn to gay sex because that is all there is. It happens in male and female prisons. I'm probably going to hell now...

I think Joe Biden is a white supremist as well as a racist. My evidence? Biden said, to a Black man no less, "If you have a problem figuring out if you are for me or Trump, you ain't black!" A white man telling a Black man he isn't smart enough to figure out who he supports? A white man telling a Black man how to vote? That is the definition of white supremacy.

Biden is also a racist. While talking to a Latina reporter, Biden said, "What y'all know, but what most people don't know, unlike the African-American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community." This is the typical statement construction of a racist. They act like they are taking someone into confidence - "what y'all know, but what most people don't know" - and then make the racist comment so it appears there is agreement. Try it. "What you know, but most people don't know, is (insert target here such as Blacks, Hispanics, Natives, Jews, LGBTQ, etc) people are (insert trait here such as lazy, crooks, drunks, drug addicts, stupid, etc). A white supremist/racist trait Biden demonstrated in both of these incidents is dumbing down his language while speaking to a person of color by saying "y'all" and "aint," hardly the way a white, educated lawyer speaks while addressing other white people.

These are just two example from the last couple of months. Biden has decades of such statements that prove he is not a real friend of any minority community. Now Joe Biden, a true white supremist and racist, is headed for the White House. If you voted for Biden, it is what you wanted.
