When President Trump accepts that he isn't going to be President, he should bow out graciously as it would flummox his opposition (and many of his supporters, too). He shouldn't hinder the transition in any way. After the inaugural is over, the former President should board that 747 with Melania, Barron, and any other family that wants to join him and head off to Florida or wherever he plans on living. When he gets there he should lick his wounds, contemplate, chase Melania around, and spend some quality time with his 14 year old son and his grandchildren. He should stay away from the press, and if he does ever says anything, he should refrain from being critical of the new administration. If he does comment on anything, Trump should say, "Well, it is what President Biden's voters wanted." No matter what. Taxes go up? "It's what the voters wanted." Troops head into Syria or anywhere else? "It's what the voters wanted." Flag draped coffins arrive at Dover Air Force Base? "It's what the voters wanted." Stock market crashes? "It's what the voters wanted." No matter what, that should be his response, even when the news is good. Never Biden. Always the voters. Put the responsibility on those who put Biden and Kamala in office. But, alas, Trump is way too ego driven to take that approach. He'll go on the air and talk smack until even his most ardent supporters say, "Enough of this crap! Shut up!"
Something I would like to see happen, and this would be a fantastic practical joke on everyone. As he is leaving the White House for the last time and as his last act as President Trump, without Biden's knowledge he should sign a full and unconditional pardon for all Federal crimes committed before January 20, 2021 for Hunter Biden. When asked about it, Trump could say, "Well, if I can do someone a favor, I do it. As promised, I have nothing further to say. I was being kind." The press would fall all over themselves rushing off to ask Joe if he asked Trump to pardon his son. Of course Joe wouldn't have any idea what the hell they were talking about. Biden's denial could even seem kind of suspicious. Maybe then the press would be interested in what exactly is on that laptop.
