A prominent business owner here died several years ago. He was an amazing entrepreneur. When he passed he left an estate rumored to be 9 digits. An extensive estate. Anyway, his three children - a son and two daughters - had been at war with each other for a long time. After the will was read they immediately contacted their legal teams and started suing each other. After years of litigation, the ATTORNIES of all people told the heirs that they really needed to settle because if they didn't the estate would be consumed by legal fees. They heirs did settle and part of the settlement was that some of the families are no longer allowed to speak to each other.
I don't know if this is a good example of contesting a will. Splitting up estates can get really nasty especially when lawyers get involved.

I'm watching PBS's Frontline. The story, "Return From ISIS," is about an American woman who went to Syria with her husband who was a ISIS soldier. Now she wants to return to the States. It's an interesting documentary, but what really caught my attention is the part where her father is being interviewed and he says that the woman was raised a Jehovah's Witness. He said that as a child she was always getting in trouble. It was an unexpected plot twist. If you care to watch the show:

Is it possible for any Country to have “Reasonable” Gun Laws? What would they be?
by pistolpete inso the new biden/harris gun policies are starting to appear.
it’s not clear yet, what they will be.. some suggestions; confiscate all guns.------buyback programs in each state.. there is much talk on social media that if this happens, the pandemic, + all the riots, + all the damaged property, + all the annual murders in america, - put together-will be like a sunday afternoon picnic, compared to all the deaths and property damage that will result because of “civil uprising” by millions of 2nd amendments advocates and just plain gun lovers.

I would support any kind of gun control law as long as the law applied to all gun owners, private AND public. The government has to live by the same law at all levels - local, county, state, and federal. If certain types of weapons are illegal to own, well Sherriff you have to turn them in. Can you imagine how much revenue would be generated if the US military had to pay a $1,000 fee on all so called weapons of war? Would a sling-shot owned by the Army be a weapon of war? I think so. Using Bernie/AOC logic, the fees paid by the military would be enough to not only fund the military but also to pay for free college for anyone who wants it. Sometimes my brilliance even overwhelms me.

Before the election, the press knew that the public wanted to know things about Biden such as what kind of ice cream he was eating (fact). The press was also busy writing deep background stories about the Biden dogs and were breathless that one of them, Major who not long ago apparently tried to assassinate Joe, was a rescue and would be the first rescue dog to live in the White House (fact). With Joe safely elected (or is it Kamela?) the press realizes that without Trump their ratings are going to plummet. With Joe pretty much refusing to say much to the press, they are going to turn on Hunter ( btw, turning on Hunter is risky. I've seen the video) to keep the audience interested. And that's okay because "We the People" didn't want Joe in the first place. Turns out we really wanted Kamela all along. It's a storyline right out of "The Bachelor."

Funny video! That said, I'm willing to bet that the anti-gun Colbert is surrounded by security that is armed to the teeth like a lot of other anti-gun celebs are.

Many gun proponents no longer even frame their arguments around hunting or sport shooting.
The Second Amendment was not about hunting or sport shooting. And that was a sad story about the ex-cop. Thank goodness you came to no harm. But in a free country, which the US allegedly is, sometimes freedom leads to bad things happening. Sometimes the mentally ill get their hands on guns and people die, sometimes the mentally ill get elected and people die.

Biden's gun grabbing tendencies would not survive judicial scrutiny...
Once Georgia delivers those two Democrat Senators, all sorts of things will happen. First to go, the filibuster. Simple majority moves legislation. Then packing the Supreme Court. Soon there will be 13 judges instead of 9. What were you saying about judicial scrutiny? Then the Green New Deal, statehood for DC and Puerto Rico...just for fun throw in Guam. Amnesty for all illeg...oops I mean displaced peoples fleeing oppression. How about mandatory mail in voting? Speaking of mandatory, COVID vaccines for all! And we mean ALL! Didn't Chuck Schumer say something along the lines of "we'll win Georgia and then we will change the world."
Back to the topic of gun laws, I hear many gun owners (I also own guns) say, "I'll die before I give up my guns." The question for gun owners, will you kill to keep your guns? I wouldn't.
