  What is the societies motivation?

  i hear and read and form my thoughts about the insanity that was my life and those of others who experienced being a jw.

  i am still stumped.

  as much as i disagree with jw, have strong opinions about it, and feel it is very unhealthy, what is "their" motivation?

  agreed. most certainly the fear of loss is more powerful than the joy of gain. Armageddon anyone? Shunning? Loss of friends and family? List goes on and on...

  the joys of bethel life. I used to be a copywriter at a large NY advertising agency earning over 100K a year.   I hear and read and form my thoughts about the insanity that was my life and those of others who experienced being a JW. I am still stumped. As much as I disagree with JW, have strong opinions about it, and feel it is very unhealthy, what is "their" motivation? I doesn't seem like money right? to accomplish on of the larger publishing companies worldwide in 230 countries is no small feat. Most other religious organizations can make claims such as this, but you can see the motivation as plain as day... money! But what about the JW's? what is their payoff to mislead millions? I don't know...
