Something I was never told about JW's.....
by Algun Otro in.... those meetings are soooooooo boring.
and don't get me started on the 3 days of hell i just spent at the district convention.
(actually, if there isn't really a "hell", then it was 3 days of "non-existence") ok, ok, i get it.... as a witness, i should "give god glory", and make sure everything i do is being done in the glory of god.... but i don't need 3 days to get that point across.

This is my first post here.... and I became interested after one of the speakers at the convention mentioned how horrible the interent was to JW's. And of course, the first thing I did was go look up "apostate" sites.
I am happy you were brave enough to see for yourself.
I also don't understand apostates.... why not just stop going to meetings and hanging out with JW's? Why do people feel the need to leave in some spiritual "blaze of glory"? I mean, just stop going.... and you'll just be hassled by occasional visits and phone calls.... so get a peep-hole and Caller ID.
Many ex-JWs do exactly that. That is what I did!

As a loyal JW, what made you to start doubting the Watchtower ???
by run dont walk ini'm sure all of us were loyal at one time to the watchtower, believing in all of it.
(some of us probaly hated it from day one as well but, ).
what were some of the first things that happened or were said, that made you to start doubting it and beginning the loss of your loyalty to the organization ??????.

The hypocrisy was what made me start to doubt.
This reminds me of Newton's First Law of Motion...
An object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
You could say...
An individual in the WTBTS tends to stay in the WTBTS and an individual in the world tends to stay the world with the same dedication and in the same direction unless something or someone influences the individual to change.

I'm going to be a dad again!

It's not their (the JWs, the WTBTS) fault in my case. They contributed to it, but I was already screwed when I got involved. What's important is that I am so much better now, even better than I was before they were around.

I hated all witnessing. The worst was drive-by witnessing. They actually used to drive by morning joggers, jump out of the car, and chase them with literature. They tried to get me to do that, but there was no way.

I had a dream a few weeks ago in which I saw a report on the news about a bad car accident that happened in front of my house. A few days after that dream there was a bad car accident in front of my house, but it was not on the news. After that I thought it was strange, but didn't think much about it.
About a week after that happened, I had the same dream again. The next day there was another accident and that time one of the cars drove through my neighbor's fence. I don't consider it clairvoyance...but even if it was, there was no way I could have prevented the accidents from happening.
