  We don't really know who planned the World Trade Towers attacks. We only know who they wanted us to blame.

  Because of the vested interests at work here, American citizens must, more than at any other time in recent history, rely on themselves to decide what is happening in our nation. Too many of those who purport to report the "truth" to us are eager to grab more tax money and more children to pour into a war of invasion, poised at a region which has swallowed up every army that has tried to conquer it since the time of Alexander The Great.

  her ladyship and i are off on holiday tomorrow.. we're flying to corfu, a greek island not far from the coast of albania.

  we're staying in a pub in a village called paleokastritsa in the north-west of the island.http://www.agni.gr/index.htm.

  this is our first time ever to greece, so our anticipation is running high!.

  How long can a forum last?

  how long can a forum last before every topic has been discussed at least once?

  new people come to the forum with new opinions, changing the forums dynamic, but there is a point when everything has been discussed and some members have seen all there is to see.

  i suspect this happens faster on a forum with a focus like the jw experience (versus a general forum) because there is only so much to discuss about jws and the wtbts.

  By the same token, surely you could say that how long can friendships last? Surely everything has been discussed eventually.

  That is a good point, Simon. I guess this is an issue in all relationships--with friends, with lovers, with marriages and on forums, too. It's a challenge to all of us to participate and give the forum the fuel it needs to function--and the people here are great at that (even fluff is fuel ).

  There are so many factors involved in relationships that no one can say when an individual may or may not move on. Sometimes one's personal life demands more attention and he/she must be responsible and attend to it. However, the forum, as a place of communion, can live as long as there is someone to manage it.

  I guess I am most interested in the social dynamics of a forum--which is related to what I posted, but a much broader topic. What are the integral parts of a community? Are they present in this forum? Obviously there are posters and moderators...but there are more parts than that. What other roles are there here that contribute to the livelihood of the forum?

  anytime something went wrong in the world with an individual, they would use them as example over and over and over again.. the most common one i heard was brother a got into big trouble with __________ (insert problem here, pick any one), see this is what happens when you leave the organization.. so how many jw's will be saying ............. "did you hear what happened to kobe, big successful athlete, see he didn't have god's organization and satan got him.".

  i wonder how many jw parents especially in the la area will make their kids stop wearing number 8. he did and admit to committing adultrey.

  sexual assault, i don't think so.

  Yea, the lesson he learned is not specific to athletes. Don't have sex with people you aren't confident in. You can't avoid the risk involved with sex no matter who your partner is, but he was reckless with her. Either way, I hope Kobe learns from this experience and moves on with his life afterward.

New people come to the forum with new opinions, changing the forum’s dynamic, but there is a point when everything has been discussed and some members have seen all there is to see. I suspect this happens faster on a forum with a focus like the JW experience (versus a general forum) because there is only so much to discuss about JWs and the WTBTS. Of course there are current events to discuss, but you can discuss those everywhere. I also noticed that there are generations of posters. Some people joined around the same time and perhaps posters who joined together will expire around the same time, too.

  So, what is the lifespan of a forum and its posters?

  If this is a repeat, I apologize.

  Not to many people listen to "God" when God says to do something against their personal nature. So if the person is a monogamous person, he/she will probably ignore God unless he/she is a devout Christian. Just like most people fornicate--against God's mandate--unless they are devout Christians. So my hypothesis is that nothing would change.
