I always enjoyed watching James Coburn in those western dramas from the 50's and 60's. He played a really great bad guy. He will be missed.

I have so much left to live for and to see and do. I said a few years ago I wasn't going to die til I went to Australia, but that I wasn't going til I was 105.

BBC America is a great channel. Every now and then they show the life story of Princess Diana, hosted by Finola Hughes. It's very interesting.
It would kind of hard to bring back Benny Hill, as he died several years ago.
Keeping Up Appearances is hilarious, the way she answers the phone. "Bouquet instead of Bucket" - it's hilarious.

Movie that could describe your experience as a jw?
by Nicolas inpersonnally, i thing that the movie "the matrix" and the movie "the truman show" really describe my experience in the wbts.
when i discovered the truth about the "truth", my perception of the reality became really different.
all that i have been taught was just a big lie.

Brooke is really cute, and very young. I don't know, he did buy that star certificate in honor of her deceased sister. That's why I think it will be Brooke, but I could be wrong!!

Head Coverings as a Sign of Submission
by jgnat inthis topic came up in chat.
as an outsider looking in, i find the whole "throw a napkin on your head, quick" thing ludicrous at best.
it seems a lot of women resent the practice as humiliating and degrading.

I remember one occasion where I was at a devout JW's house and us ladies (3 adults, 1 child) were sitting around the table getting ready to eat. We were about to pray when one of the ladies saw her JW elder hubby walk in, she quickly grabbed the damp dish towel on the table and gave the prayer, her hair dripping wet. I remember then thinking how stupid and asinine that was, but kept quiet because I didn't want to seem contrary. But my face could not hide my feelings. You could have flown a 747 through the gapping hole in my mouth as it dropped in shear disgust.

Speaking of Tuesday Weld, she was Thalia Menninger on Dobie Gillis. She was once married to the late Dudley Moore. Another funny fellow, btw. Especially in "Arthur."

Remember a young Warren Beatty from Dobie Gillis?
Remember Zelda? She's a state representative in California, also was a college professor.
