  i found this article today after watching the movie "selena" (i've seen it before) and wondered what the family are doing now.

  i didn't find out that information, but this article was pretty interesting.

  of course, i had heard the family were jw's, and wondered if it were true.the religious affiliation of tejano singer .

  It's been 10 years since Selena passed away. I've been by her grave a few times at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi. (My favorite aunt and uncle are interred there also). It's right by the hotel I stay (I know I am weird, but at least my hotel is quiet!). I went by in 1997 and took photographs of her grave before they had the big huge grave cover put on it.   i received this email regarding jobs available now in the dfw area to help with the disaster.

  it reads as follows:.

  the federal emergency management agency (fema) needs employees that can handle extensive telephone contact with members of the general public.

  The FEMA office is located off 288 in Denton. I was offered a job there last month but it was just temporary and I had already accepted my permanent position at where I am now.

  Won tons of stuff on the radio in my early years. Best thing I ever won - front row tickets to Neil Diamond, dinner at a ritzy restaurant and a limo ride to and from my apartment!

  We're dealing with people who didn't have a clue that this was going to be of this magnitude - or so they say. You have everyone pointing fingers, typical behavior after the fact. I am glad the National Guard is now in the streets! Mr Bush, get our boys and girls out of the Middle East and let them protect against the anarchy in New Orleans!

  I done a bad thing...

  after reading the sept 1 2005 article about the mennonites in which the watchtower society condemns the mennonite church for shunning former members, i could not resist the temptation to send a letter to my parents about it.. after my letter i included a copy of the article with key areas highlighted.. [parents' names],.

  someone pointed out a very interesting article in the sept. 1, 2005 watchtower mennonites -- search for bible truth.

  in this article the mennonite church is condemned by the watchtower society for shunning members who studied the bible and came to conclusions that are different from what are taught by the church.

  How about what happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I received an invitation to the "Employee Appreciation Breakfast" from my former employer. Mind you, the employer that let me go! I sent two emails expressing my condolences, including to the lady who let me go. I told her "I am sure you would have saved me a seat!" I so enjoyed writing it!
