Talesin,
The scene in question is from the original "Carrie." Actress Piper Laurie, Carrie's mother is lamenting about Carrie and her conception. That description is about Carrie's father. This is right before Carrie's mom tries to kill her after the destruction at the prom. One of those movies that sticks with you after all these years.

If you lived in Downey, did you ever run into Richard Carpenter? I am such a big fan of the Carpenters. I heard Richard sold the house on Newville Avenue after his mom died and moved to Simi Valley. Did you ever eat at that famous McDonald's?

Do you tell your spouse or partner EVERYTHING?
by doodle-v infrom my experience, and im fairly young so i still have a lot to learn, but i found that being honest can be very difficult and it also takes a good level of trust from both parties.
one night my fiance and i just sat and told each other everything about our past, you know, (if i tell him that he might leave) that kind of stuff.
well i'll tell you it was one of the most difficult things i've ever done.

You know a few years back a former friend of mine was having an affair behind her hubby's back. He had MAJOR issues and this guy made her feel oh so good. She wanted to tell her spouse but I advised against against, basically for her safety. He was so unpredictable that I worried her honesty may have proved injurious or fatal. She had fallen in love with this guy and was at a crossroads, between her JW raising morals still clogging her head or her heart. I told her if she was going to continue to see this guy, she should separate in order to distance herself from hubby's prying eyes. She did and eventually divorced her husband and broke up with that guy. I don't condone affairs, however I don't think an affair is a capital offense, punishable by death. I sincerely think her husband would have killed her. He wasn't a JW, into guns and prided himself on dispensing justice his own way.

This week is the first day of school and I've been putting hours on end these past few weeks. It's not an excuse, just the truth. Until school and work calm down, I cannot continue my story - sorry.

A few years when I was living in an apartment, I prided myself on my independence. I had just left the JW's and rented an apartment to get the hell away from my JW parents, and the second month I was there I walked in on someone leaving my apartment the back door. Needless to say, my heart skipped a huge beat and then I realized that the back door for some reason was open. I NEVER went back there so there was no reason to unlock it. It turns out my maintenance guy had been in and forgot to lock the back door. Some teenager then went in to have a look around and steal my television. I read my apartment complex the riot act and received free rent in lieu of taking them to court over the issue.
