  Like / Dislike Display Issue

  just a heads up, since the last update the like / dislike votes sometimes don't display immediately due to caching.

  they are all definitely counted though and will appear eventually, the issue is purely with the display part.

  i'll look at fixing the cache so it's more immediate..

  been sent this - could be an interesting story - seems totally unrelated to recent events in canada, but see under the sub-heading 'debate after birth' - translation is via google, which is unfortunately not very good :(.

  from the thursday 8 december 2016 print editon of agderposten newspaper - a norwegian daily newspaper with a circulation of just under 20,000 (so admittedly a relatively small regionally based circulation newspaper).

  I now consider a blood transfusion as an organ transplant and not consuming the blood, since the blood continues to circulate thru the body and does not pass out of the body like waste does. The WT reasoning falls apart with this organ transplant notion.

  when i was a jobo, i used to thing of 'life without end at laaaasssssst'.. having been on my journey out of the wbt$ slaveholdery, i have found that something that makes sense is that life doesn't owe us a meaning.

  psalms 146:4 was actually bangeth on the money-eth 'his breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.'.

  although i am now very atheist, and really do not even think there is the remotest possibility of a god, that bible passage is correct.

  i believe it started with the website change.

  ever since then the religion has moved in a more modern direction.

  I watched this documentary and this group thinks they are god,s people, and they actually have the real Jesus. They already live in paradise, according to themselves, but if you think it, to you it is real.

  Odd choice of words

  why is it that when a jw gives someone a magazine, they use the word "place" instead of "give"?

  as in "i placed a magazine with him".

  and why do regular door-to-door jws of no special rank refer to themselves as publishers?

  Rutherford purposely tried to remove from his literature any words that might be used in any other religions, and replace them with words that are unique, so it makes the cult members feel superior. Like Kingdom Hall used to replace Church. and Going to the "meeting", whereas other groups say, were going to church, or mass. Notice when outsiders say "what is your Church like", the average JW will grizzle inside, and proudly say "we call it a Kingdom Hall" in a smug manner.
