someone snitched over something minor-ish on me about six months ago the person is from a different hall, person got df ( over some other stuff) why haven't the elders talked to me?

What would you say to the HH if you could?

ok so there's no other jws in earshot and your on the ministry, the hh comes to the door, what would you say to them about jws if you could?.

would you explain why your there when you don't want to be?.

would you warn them about it being a cult?.

so i was checking out the website to see what the february broadcast was all about before i watched it with my jw wife.. on the front page was this video.... https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/vodbible/pub-jwbai_201607_1_video.

i watched it and pretended i had never been a jw.. if you pretend you don't understand their particular language it makes for a interesting (if not vague) watch.. btw i've seen several of the actors before.

As a kid I use to think how does God "see everyone,s thoughts" since there are at least 7 billion of us alive and billions more that have died, its just not a realistic concept for this to happen, unless god is a mega computer that has billions of wireless connections that also can scan and pick up what you are thinking? Balderdash, god is a made up way to keep children and suckers in the FOG. The poor girl he abandoned has to be puzzled and now alert to any future JW,s that cross her path, to avoid them like the plague.

in this first installment i will be tackling the common fallacious analogy used by them to equate eating blood with receiving a transfusion.

guess what, first book of the bible genesis 3:16 and he found other books that condones torture, exodus 7:3, numbers 31:17,18 and many more in that book.

2520-607 = 1913

i love math, i love calendars, and somehow, this always gets me.. 2520 - 607 = 1913. not 1914.. 2520 - 606 = 1914. from what i understand, russell realized this.

he had previously used 606 bc, of course, but then he switched it to 607 bc.

i know there was something about no zero year, so it actually should be less one, correct?.

I also came across in The Old Theology a date of 1915 highlighted in one of the articles, so give or take a year, doesn't really matter if you are mind numbed.

a bit of an update, last weekend was my great grandmothers funeral, now, she was never a jw, and never was going to be, no matter how hard my mother, and grandmother tried to preach to her, she was the type of person that would kindly accept a wt or a book, but she wouldn't bother reading them.. anyways, she was a great wonderful and inspiring woman, the funeral was extremely sad, she had been a school teacher for over 35 years and a member of various clubs, so there were a lot of folks besides family that attended.. well, anyways i was there and so was my jw mother, stepfather, and grandmother, we were cordial, didn't talk about anything jw related because, it was great grandmothers funeral, not really a time to discuss how i am an evil sinner, or how i've escaped the org by avoiding df'ing, right?

wrong, as i'm sitting waiting for the service to begin, a lady shows up, now- i have known this woman for a long time, apparently she baby sat me as a small child, (like i remember?

) so she isn't someone i was ever close with, but knew of her or when she was around would say hi to and make small talk.. to give you a tid-bit on her personality though, she is one of those crazy jw's.. she claims to have been possessed by a demon, very very wacky on the prophesies, or gb talks, etc.

Sorry for your loss, this nut sounds like a relic of the 60,s and 70,s which we called "Jesus Freaks". They talked up Jesus 24/7 and when you saw one, you would immediately go the other way, to avoid being sent to hell by them for their Pharisitic blabber. All religions have a few and then they become leaders...
