Restart your life?
by mariposa inthis is geared more to you guys who found the truth later in life...unless ya'll can remember those happy times back in the womb.. i've been thinking alot lately about where i was and what i was doing before i became a witness.
granted it was one of the most horrible times of my life, but i could have figured out a better way to deal than become a baptised dub.. i had been planning on hiking the appalachain trail, had some of my gear, plans, etc.
and dropped it for the promise the paradise.

The JWs, a petty minded and ungrateful lot
by greendawn inthe jws are being grossly unfair and unrealistic when they say that they owe nothing to the rest of world, for example many ppl had to die in order to defeat fascism and they the jws were certainly spared much grief by the defeat of such dictatorial and ruthless powers.
democratic governments are very civilised in their behaviour towards the jws perhaps too civilised.
but they will never once admit it.

The Watchtower Society and its members enjoy all the benefits that being a part of an organized consumer society brings. The members are employed by the system and in some cases live on social security payments. The Society utilises the most efficient literature production and transportation systems the capitalist world has developed.
Jehovah's Witnesses benefit daily from the efficient running of schools, food production and emergency services. They are at the forefront in using law courts and governmental law to support their freedom and uphold their human rights. Not only do they benefit from medical advances, but expect preferential treatment to enable operations and organ transplants without blood transfusion. Despite benefiting from the efforts of professional people, they strongly discourage their own members from pursuing higher education.
Giving to charity is discouraged. All donations are expected to go to the Society, as this is considered the most worthy cause. They quote Jesus words “You will always have the poor,” as good reason for not giving to the under-privileged. All such assistance is reserved for those in their “nation.”
They are no part of the world, in as much as they will not vote or help to organize local government. They are encouraged to avoid training for professional positions and, if possible, full-time work. In terms of receiving the benefits that come from the efforts of others who are not standing back waiting for the world system to end, so that they can inherit the world, they are very much a part of the world.

swimming around in the sea - one called justin and the other called christian.. .

The attractive young teacher makes it clear to the class of fifteen year olds, that there will be no acceptable excuse for missing the exam next day.
One wise ass, pipes up, 'Suppose I was- say - sexually exhausted - Miss?'
'No excuse.' Replies teacher. ' You would just have to take the exam using your other hand!'

The question makes a number of assumptions.
That there is someone called Jehovah.
That he created animals.
That he has control over what they do.
If we start with a false premise then we end up with an unanswerable question.
On a more serious note, why don’t wild animals get to enjoy tomato ketchup or mustard on their dinner?

We don't go anywhere, instead of trying to go somewhere, we stay where we are and start to appreciate and enjoy what we have.
We see the value in all people regardless of whether they buy the Watchtower or Playboy.
We fully embrace the awesome reality of being a part of the dance of life and knowing that the only reality is the present.
