  Tips for electric oven/ceramic hobs?

  i am now about to buy a new electric oven and ceramic electric hobs so if anyone has advice and tips on these devices let us know.

  the oven will be bosch or siemens with triple glass on the door and of course fun assisted, that way food cooks faster and better as a crust is created quickly on the surface of food and seals in the juices, eg meats come out very succulent and tender.

  also there is no need to turn food round.

  the first scripture we all learned as jws is in matthew, "this good news of the kingdom shall be preached to all the earth....and then the end will come.

  " st some point oi pointed out that while the number of hours in the ministry, the number of jws and the number of baptized continue to go down, the number of people on the planet explodes exponentially and so how is the above even possible?

  i recall being told or reading that there is a thing called community responsibility and that was the way the society dismissed the multitudes of people who not only would never convert to jwism, let alone christianity but would never be preached to ever.

  As you say - There is no reason for whole civilisations to be destroyed because they failed to attend Watchtower Society meetings, or read all their latest publications.

  Millions of people around the world have never even been offered a Watchtower.

  it really makes me angry when they say i love jehovah.

  they don't know what they are talking about.

  if they read with an open mind the carry-ons of this cruel mesopotanian god they would feel ridiculous and embarrassed for putting this god before their family, their children.

  i spoke with a well placed, highly responsible brother some weeks ago, who didn't care for my opinions about corruption "from the.

  bottom all the way to the top" in the organization.

  he defended the society against every accusation i made but was stopped short by one.

  The Watchtower Society teaches that Armageddon is a literal battle and an execution. Anyone not protected by association with them is to be executed. This is to include the children of non-Witnesses. Many Witnesses will also be killed, because they are constantly being reminded that only those who are “whole-souled” will be spared.

  Fear of such a death is the reason for many members staying in line. The threat of death at Armageddon is a constant feature of Watchtower literature and a major control method due to the high level of fear it creates among the membership:

  “May we never be tempted to venture into the danger zone for whatever reason our mind might come up with, since the day we cross the line back into the world could be the day of Jehovah.” (Watchtower - 15 February 2000 – Page 7)

  Contemporary Gender Distinction - Why?

  i think that as society progresses towards greater equality (even if there are temporary hindrances along the way), the question as to whether efforts towards reducing gender distinction should be attempted arises in some of our minds.

  clearly not everyone is going to agree on this.

  but i think anyone who is truly reasonable is going to desire that all people are treated more equitably, in fact as much as possible.

  I thought only women could type that fast because men have big clumsy fingers but you have debunked that idea.

  Some good thoughts on the sexual divide. I used to get quite worked up about the inequalities and stereo typing in society (no pun intended) but I don’t give it much thought now.

  Society has a way of evolving and finding it’s own level. The sex war seems to be following this path.

  I have a ceramic hob and would never go back to gas.

  It is easy to clean easy to use and I prefer to cook by numbers instead of having to bend down to see how how the gas is and spill my drink in the process. Gas worked for cave men but we have moved on.

  Regarding this and similar products, then, Christians face a very serious decision. They must carefully and prayerfully meditate on Bible principles concerning the sacredness of blood. With a keen desire to maintain a good relationship with Jehovah, each must be guided by his Bible-trained conscience.

  In other words the issue has become too complicated for the WT. It is now up to the membership to work it out for themselves. They have permission to 'carefully and prayerfully meditate on Bible principles concerning, voting as well.

  Perhaps one day they will be allowed to 'carefully and prayerfully meditate on Bible principles concerning ' shunning their loved ones.

  To 'carefully and prayerfully meditate on Bible principles concerning' when the end will come.

  Perhaps if the membership were to 'carefully and prayerfully meditate on Bible principles concerning' the warnings about false prophets and leaders, they would make some real progress!

  kero-kero's goodbye post brought me to mind a common complaint amongst jw apologists, that all we do is bring up the bad stuff and old history.

  after all, "nobody's perfect".

  well, that would be fine and dandy if the wtbts hadn't set themselves up as the sole mouthpiece for jehovah in these 'last days'.

  Why is it that the Buddhists and new agers are always saying to "let it go"? As if this life is so awful that they do not want to be in touch with it?

  The idea is to let go of our resistance to life and except it. By letting go of resistance we fully embrace life.

  If, for example we are suffering emotional pain, we can let go of our resistance and embrace the experience. Pain can benefit us but only if we except and let go of resistance. Most pain is caused by resistance to our situation or an inability to accept.

  each year i get annoyed at the memorial when the speaker giving the talk always refers to this point and then says how the other sheep (the great crowd) "can benefit from this arrangement".

  Jesus is the only reason that Christians can worship God without all the blood sacrifices of the mosaic law since he was the perpetual sacrifice for sin.

  I wasn't born when the Mosaic law was written and animals sacrificed for my sin.

  I wasn't born when when 'god' allegedly had his son murdered for my sin.

  I did not ask for a single drop of blood to be spilt on my behalf.

  How can sacrifices be made for my sin before I was born? What exactly was my sin?

  Who dreamed up this nonsense?
