i think i replied to too many threads yesterday about demons and jehovah.
must have been in the back of my mind when i went to sleep.. i was dreaming that this ugly demon with a pointy hairy chin was after me.

Your post reminded me of the demon dreams and calling out ‘Jehovah’ for protection. My parents lent me a walking stick to keep under the bed to fight of the demons with. They later decided it Was demonised and destroyed it!
One day about 20 years ago, I decided that the whole concept was nonsense and cleared my mind of the garbage it had been filled with. I have not had a ‘scream dream’ since.

technology proves science to be successful in advancing human progress.. religion disdains human progress and waits for the end.
Could it be that those who disagree with you are disobeying YOUR self-made 'religion'?
I do not think that Terry is trying to start a new religion but to encourage awareness and and a relationship with reality. Science is not a religion for all the reasons that Terry stated in his opening post.
Science seeks to understand and advances as it grows in knowledge. It says we can know the answers if we apply logic. We can find out how things work. More importantly we are allowed to search for solid answers. We are not a failed species living in a shadow of disapproval because we have fallen from grace.
We are a part reality and subject to the same life process that all living things go through. Science offers an understanding of that process in a way that religion has failed to do. Although religion has at times offered emotional comfort it has lied and failed to deliver the answers that humanity needs right now.

Jehovah’s Witnesses have the concept of Jehovah installed in their minds when they are trained to become part of the cult.
Once inside a members mind the concept becomes a reality to them. They can have a strong relationship or a weak relationship or any other kind of relationship they desire.
Jehovah is never far off because he is inside the members head. Perhaps this is why they are so fond of the word, ‘headship.’

Many Jehovah’s Witnesses will state the nation of Israel
had many flaws, but God did not abandon them.
This opening statement assumes that Israel really was led by God. Perhaps they claimed this in an attempt to justify their blood thirsty attacks on land that did not belong to them saying it was their gods will because the foreigners worshiped false gods. Their pillage and theft of other peoples property and killing of their own people for the smallest infringement of man made laws was also said to be obedience to their god.
Mankind has blamed an invisible God for its actions since the dawn of time. The JWs would do better to pattern themselves on a more moral nation. They like the Israelites should take responsibility for their own actions and stop hiding behind an invisible monster.
i recently read of a survey regarding unhappy wives.
it seems that nearly most women wouldn't do it all over again with the same man.
they were unhappy for various reasons.
Women want money from men so they can go shopping. Men want to give them the money so they can have some time on their own while the women are out shopping.
The women return to rested men, with things they have bought to make themselves look and smell nice.
What follows is for grown ups and then the men and the women get what they both really want!
