wikipedia has an article on rudeness.. rudeness (also called impudence or effrontery) is a display of disrespectfulness by not complying with the social "laws" or etiquette of a group or culture.
these laws have been established as the essential boundaries of normally accepted behavior.
i have noticed a high level of rudeness in this forum ... i was wondering the why.. what do others consider "rude" behaviour wrt this forum?do others have any thoughts about the obvious rude behaviour?do others have any thoughts if the aggressively rude posters have this personality as a by-product of watchtower indoctrination?if no, what could be causing this aggresion?
I swing both ways and can be rude or kind, depending on whether I have a hang-over, how my wife is treating me, how the stock market is doing, and many other other of life's imponderables. Or it may just be that I feel the need to take a swipe at some ignoramus.
This forum is great therapy – I hope it never changes. Thank you for letting me share.

carl gustav jung died 50 years ago today.
That's a good article Dogpatch. I have read much of Jung's work and find his approach more interesting that Freud's. Though Freud shed a lot of light on the mind at a time when little was known.
For those that are interested in Jung but don't want to wade through all his books I recommend a slim paper-back - An Introduction to Jung's Psychology by Frieda Fordham. Though with so much on the web now it may be a less useful tool than when it was written.

Perhaps you are close Tammy but it could be that the disciples were pretending to sleep so they could eavesdrop on Jesus and find out his secrets for the book they were planning to write.

Having just got back from a week hiking in the Welsh mountains, I am certain that this scripture is an invatation to come to Wales and drink its free refreshing mountain spring water. I recommend it to all who are thirsting.

Birthdays can be a real bummer. I had a birthday last Saturday and felt less than pleased up to be another year older. Still, I consoled myself by reasoning that it's better than expiring and not getting to be another year older.

Obviously, the word "scripture" refers to previously written Jewish "scriptures", and not the new testament.
This is true and inconvenient for many Christians as the Jewish scriptures are the most embarrassing.

As it happens, I did not make a statement but posted the words of that most modest of men, Saint Paul. To me the Bible is as God-breathed as a pair of old socks and is uselessful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.

The self-certifying Bible explains very clearly how all that is in the Bible came to be. Of course many Christians no longer accept that the Bible is The Word of God. So this explanation will not satisfy them, and so the plot thickens.

i am just wondering since these people never work a secular job.
is there some sort of an arrangement from the society to care for them?
presuming they don't even have children of their own to look after them when they are old..
God takes care of them along with the sparrows. It's all in the bible.
