They'll Never Get It
by cherrypye inafter listening to my family members go on and on about the new light regarding the generation, coming home from the convention all ramped out because "the end is so close you can feel it, it's just around the corner", i finally realized it.. they'll never see it for what it is.
even if the organization goes down, they'll sink with that ship.
there is not a rational person that could swallow the new generation overlap teaching and really believe it.

People believe what they want to. They gravitate towards comfort. They want to have their ears tickled.
They want to be loved, needed and provided with a hope for the future, even after they die.
Religion can provide all this – they think!

Belief is Irrelevant to Watchtower Leadership
by daniel-p inthe more i see what watchtower leadership does, the more i think doctrine matters less and less.
it used to be you had all these people in leadership positions constantly pondering the big questions.
watchtower articles routinely delved into complicated explanations of doctrine.

Some things never change...
“We should meekly go along with the Lord’s theocratic organization and wait for further clarification, rather than baulk at the first mention of a thought unpalatable to us and proceed to quibble and mouth our criticisms and opinions as though they were worth more than the slave’s provision of spiritual food. Theocratic ones will appreciate the Lord’s visible organization and not be so foolish as to pit against Jehovah’s channel their own human reasoning and sentiment and personal feelings.” TheWatchtower 2 January 1952 – Page 8

Who is your hero?
by HintOfLime inpersonally, as a computer programmer, my hero is a bit odd perhaps - gordon ramsey.
i think gordon ramsey is awesome.
no nonsense - he tells boring, lazy, mediocre people that they are mediocre, and passionately tells them what they are doing wrong... because he wants them to do better.

Malpractice lawsuit
by hubert infrom 1963 to 1980, the watchtower society "forbade" their flock from having organ transplants, saying it was cannibalism.. it looks to me like the w.t.
society is "practicing medicine", giving advice about medical issues without having a medical license for this.. wouldn't and shouldn't this be called "malpractice", and put the w.t.
in a position for a malpractice lawsuit?

The Watchtower Society has had its head up its ass for over a hundred years. That is an organ transplant.

Outrageous Omission Blood
by Marvin Shilmer inoutrageous omission blood.
today i uploaded an article i have worked on for some time.
it expounds and illustrates a revolting habit watchtower has of refraining from wide distribution of life-saving information clearly and promptly.

As the Society have changed their mind on so many other verses of scripture, and applied the scriptures on this matter in so many different ways, perhaps they will change their mind on this issue completely. If they do, it will be of no comfort to the relatives of those who have died as a result of their ruling.
More critically for the Society, these changes further undermine their claim that they have been appointed by holy spirit to dispense accurate knowledge which they insist the members eternal lives depend upon. By making the Bible’s comments on the use of animal blood into a law regarding the life-saving use of human blood, have they carried out their “duty of care” towards their members?
