  just wondering if any here know their iq?.

  my son, just recently coming back into my life, told me he had his done,,,,and i was wondering,,any here know of theirs, and how it might have affected their lives, their outlook, etc.

  Depression

  okay, so this isn't long-term (i hope) horrible depression, just....a bad couple of days.

  i'm taking suggestions on how to pull out of it.

  You need to ground yourself. I have just got back from four days walking on Exmoor in South/West England.

  Switch off your computer and get out into the countryside amidst nature.

  three kids go into a store to buy a picture frame for their mom for mothers day.

  they find a frame that costs $30.

  Yeah VM44 - You are right. I completely screwed up there.

  The answer is that the $2 comes out of the $27 that is left. It is not added on in an attempt to reach $30.

  I should stick to what I am good at!

  We are confused because we accept that the shop keeper kept only $2. The shop keeper actually keeps $3. There is no complicated maths required.

  a few hours ago i went to put some fuel in my motor and used my debit card to pay as i always do.

  "sorry sir, your card has been declined".

  how embarrasing is that?!

  i've been disfellowshipped for 4 years now (for loose conduct - lol) .

  what i want to know is, what am i supposed to believe now?

  i was brought up a jw but i know that so many of their teachings and doctrines are completely false.

  Why believe in anything that requires an act of faith? Such belief can never amount to more than guess-work.

  An appreciation of all that is and that can be experienced and observed is a more reliable and rewarding basis for living.

  Cinema - what's right and wrong?

  i am a jw matriarch and have always accepted our teachings, often looking for guidance from the watchtower webpage when i was doubtful.

  especially when it comes to modern culture.

  i was asked by my son's friend's mother what was righetous with regard to cinema.

  But anythging further than is out of order. You have to consider the people who are trying to watch the film.

  you go from one set of fears to another set of fears.

  i used to be terrified of armageddon when i was a jw and just knew i was going to get hit by a lightning bolt from jehovah on that day.

  All you need to do is to admit that you are a sinner, believe that Christ died on the cross for your sins, repent of your sins and accept Christ as your personal Savior.

  What is not clear is whether you base your beliefs on the pages you have torn out of your Bible or the pages that are left.

  In any case, the so called 'word of God' has to be seriously edited to eliminate fear from the equation. After all 'God's word' states that, fear of God is the beginning of wisdom - unless that is one of the pages you have torn out?

  Give us a break!
