  Parents with JW Adult Children Shunning Them - How Are You Coping ?

  i do understand your plight - as i have 2 adult jw daughters shunning me aged 21 and almost 20. they married witness boys 2 years ago and it's been 1 year since i've spoke with my younger daughter, 5 months since i went to coffee with my older daughter.

  i call them, but they won't return my calls.

  i tell them i love them, but it's as if i don't exist.

  Is It Me Or Are The Males of Today More Feminine and/or Nerdy Than Ever B4?

  when i turn on the tv, i see so many fem men that i'm realizing that a 'manly" man seems to be a relic of the past.. metrosexuals rule the world now.supersensitive males who are in touch with their feminine side are the norm.. the john waynes & burt reynolds have been replaced with ryan seacrest lookalikes.. ladies, do you find these metrosexuals all that attractive?

  Quite which qualities are totally male or female is a matter of debate. When I was growing up we looked to the Hollywood hunks as role models. Actors like Rock Hudson, Carey Grant, James Dean, Burt Lancaster - you know the real men.

  Turns out they were either gay or bi-sexual. Perhaps we are just more honest now and free to present what we are to the world instead of presenting what we think the world wants us to.

  A lot of outwardly feminine men are straight and big hairy types can be gay. There are no rules and why should there be?

  This is a serious thread celebrating the achievement of a man who, though born without eyes has managed to inspire the world by becoming a painter.

  I am not prepared to derail this thread and undermine this man's achievement by playing childish games with you.

  This subject has the makings of an interesting and uplifting discussion for people who are capable of such.

  ive seen several threads about ufo but not one about ifo.

  as you might have hear richard branson with help of burt rutan (who would be one of my personal heroes if i ever had one) had just unveiled space plane for paying passenger to take them for a ride of a lifetime into suborbital flight.

  i know it is a bit expensive i my self would wait till it go down by about a half before seriously thinking about it and i wouldnt like going alone anyway.

  Very moving. It shows that we experience the world with more than our eyes. Vision is a many faceted thing.

  I was touched by his joy despite his handicap.
