  They also knowingly provided a pedophile with the opportunity to repeatedly go into the community and homes of families with young children. Talk about having access to children and information he could use later.
  A sensational media campaign on this sure would raise some eyebrows -- "Do you know who's knocking on your door? Be careful. JWs think it's OK to send known pedophiles into people's homes to preach"

  Confused about Satan's plan according to WTS

  my rudimentary understanding of jw beliefs is that satan is leading traditional christian religions and the wild beast of the un is his tool.

  is the wts concept that the un will eventually ban all religion and this will start the big a?

  wouldn't satan be working at cross purposes if 'he' is leading the false religions too??

  Hey - Thanks Transhuman -- Yeah, that's pretty convoluted. A beast and harlot in cahoots but then Jehovah causes a riff and they turn on each other and end the world. Or something like that.

  If we know about this plan, do you think Satan has gotten word of it?

  Transhuman - Thanks for the info. You've actually made me more curious now but I suspect I won't have the patience to sort it out either. I honestly thought there was an easy explanation to this as it seems to be a key belief. But as NeverKnew says, if you JWs can't sort it out us non-JWs don't stand a chance.

  My rudimentary understanding of JW beliefs is that Satan is leading traditional Christian religions and the Wild Beast of the UN is his tool. Is the WTS concept that the UN will eventually ban all religion and this will start the big A? I don't get it. Wouldn't Satan be working at cross purposes if 'he' is leading the false religions too?? Why ban them?

  (PS > I don't belief in Satan, just trying to understand the logic. How does this strategy make sense?)

  Congregation had to relocate Memorial...thanks to me

  so, the two local congregations were planning to hold their memorial together at 7:30 at the local community center, but they had to make a last-minute change to their own hall, and i'm pretty sure it was because of me.. let me explain.... at work on monday afternoon, a co-worker returned from her lunchbreak and showed me the memorial invitation that was waiitng in her door when she went home for lunch.

  i noticed the sticker on the back indicated the memorial was being held, not at the local hall, but at the community center.

  from a past (non-jw) event i attended there, i knew they didn't allow alcohol (unless you pay for security guards), so i wrote to the center's coordinator:.

  Agree you did nothing wrong. Not your intention that they change the time/location of their event. Seems they're more interested in saving $ then spreading the good news. ...funny how the other church, the one ruled by satan, has no prob following the rules. Ridiculous on so many levels.

  my ex bf, newly reinstated jw, was texting me that his 75 year old parents (uber dubs) are giving him grief about taking on some debt to buy a new truck to invest in his new job.

  they thought he should just resume his old window cleaning biz.

  so i told him just to tell them not to worry about the debt since it will be wiped clean in the new system, which is right around the corner.. whoops -- i thought i was being clever but apparently my comment offended him.

  I found out a JW friend of mine has an addiction to torturing animals!

  last night i found out a close jw friend of mine takes delight in watching animal torture.

  i am an animal lover, and i dont know what to think.

  i dont want to end our friendship because this friend has been very accepting of me.

  The fact you had to ask if he was joking means this is no joke. He's either testing you around his sick sadistic behaviour or he's messing with your head - either way I don't think you need a sick friend like this. I'd anonymously call the humane society/police and stay away from him.

  Animal torture IS a crime, and it's a key indicator that someone is a psychopath. Generally hurting animals is the gateway to hurting humans. You need to report this person to the humane society right away. I'd really consider if this is the kind of friend you want. He does not have empathy. He may be accepting because he doesn't care. I'd be nervous of him.
