I met him and his wife once. Wife was quiet - Asian like many said. My dad commented that she doesn't have the heavenly calling but I don't know where he got that from.

most of them did a far away look away.. i walked to the counter for taking the 2013 calender, the daily text book and much magazines the local clown elder (he was dressed in purple), talked to me with a loud voice "welcome!

I have to visit the family next month (I'm living away now, yay!) and they have no idea I'm fading.
Must live with them and hence attend all the WT's, CBS'S, FS (I'll just drag my feet), and Family BS (gag)
It's going to be fun *sarcasm implied*

Jewel, don't be too hard on yourself.
There are some things that cannot be changed, especially for the ones that have been in the borg too long to know anything else. You might be an enabler, but you do want to do what's best. In the end, we just need to be there for our loved ones - and if that's what it takes so be it. We're not the ones that want to shun, they are. By "they", I don't mean the majority of nice people caught in it (they have no choice in their eyes) but the borg that makes them do it. We'll just finally live our lives the best we can, won't we :-)
Good luck with everything.

CO Disfellowshipped in UK
by konceptual99 inso, i have it on very good authority that a co has recently been disfellowshipped in the uk.
he has just finished serving the north west london area.
i don't know any details but perhaps there is someone who does know what happened.

I'm very new to this - only my second thread post.. gosh I should stop gushing haha :)
But these posts remind me of a CO we had from the UK, say about 15 years ago... The country I lived in was far from the UK but the Britain office "governed" the cong there as it's a banned country.
So anyway, the CO's were virtually worshipped whenever they visited. People in the cong were mostly asian or the sort, and to have someone white like the CO come and visit, it seemed like a big deal. I don't remember if this person was a CO or DO but I distinctly remember him having a fondness for my 10 yr old brother. He was single, in his late 30's or early 40's then I think. My mum was flattered and kept telling everyone how my bro was "blessed" to have the CO/DO like him so much. I was only a year older than my bro and didn't know what to think but I remember one late evening, we were at a cong dinner... some families got together with and invited the CO/DO and the adults were sitting out after dinner and got to drinking a little, kids were indoors playing video games, and I was sitting at the table reading a book just behind them. The DO/CO then came in and made a few friendly remarks at some of the kids and then came to me and asked me what I was reading. He started off with his hands on my shoulders but then started to massage my back sort of going up and down. It was weird and I didn't know what to think, but he was respected so I sat still. He continued to do it till someone came into the room, then abruptly stopped.
Thinking about it now, I'm quite certain he was a pedo. He never married and was too attached to pre-pubescent kids. I don't know if I'm just being accusatory and I should be glad nothing happened, I'm pretty sure nothing happened to my bro either as he never got him alone. But scary eh? I just hope he NEVER got to any other child.
I hope he never

Fading in another country
by sillygirl2013 inthis is my first topic here, i'm a bit nervous and hope no police-y jw elder/ms is trolling this site looking for faders.
paranoia i hope, not anything close to reality :-).
so i've been away from my country for a year now, working in this fantastic country in europe.

Aww, you guys are so nice :-)
Problem with me is that this particual elder sends me an email/sms if I dont turn my FS report in by the 5th of every month. And dad's an elder in the same cong so everyoe would know the instant I stop sending it in.
Musical congregations (haha, good one!) is probably the best idea.. if only I can manage to get myself to those sessions and last the entire one without puking xP
I know I should be so grateful to have this option of fading while away from home. I live somewhere where its so easy to just take a train to another country for the weekend - so much easier than going to the meetings ey?Thank you all for the moral support. You have no idea how much better I feel.
PS: This thread has my FIRST post on an "apostate" site, And i don't feel an ounce of guilt. This is good :-))))

Congratulations on doing it Skbj, and thanks for the response. I hope to get to where you are soon :-)
It's just so difficult making it to the meetings isn't it. Now that nobody knows its so easy to stay in on a Sunday morning. If they can have it all done quickly, it would be so much easier. (No investigating on where I've been for a year and stuff like that)
You're so right, fading abroad is the best. Just have to make sure you say the right things about convention and assembly topics/ timings and the like, when you're asked :-O

So I've been away from my country for a year now, working in this fantastic country in Europe. Been having doubts for a couple of years, and have attended literally two meetings since I moved here in almost a whole year. I want to fade, but it will kill the family the family if I was found out. Dad's an elder and mum wouldn't bear it.
So I've been putting my measly hours through every month (Such a lie!) to the cong in my original country as my PB card's still there. Elders send me an email now and then telling me I should request local cong to request them to send it here, and I say I'm doing a lot of travelling with the job but will eventually settle and have it done.
The PB card is my biggest problem here, because its held at the cong where my family lives. If I stop reporting, everyone's going to know I'm now inactive. I hope it's not a stupid question but has anyone been in a similar situation and gotten their card out of the borg? I've thought of a fake elder/cong requesting for it but I'm sure that'll be hard to pull off. Any ideas?
Such a stress this is,
Thanks so very much for your advice
:-)
