by bikerchic ini added up all the imediate members of my family who have left the b'org and more have left then remain.
this was promped by a conversation i had lastnight with my son who told me about a jw kid from his past got in contact with him out of the blue and she was telling him how many in her family were now df'ed and never planning on returning.
we were really surprised because she was an elder's daughter and one of the last people you would think would leave.. so what is your family score?

I think you are correct, confused. Tony Eason was in the same class as Marino and Elway, and honestly, I think they horded the talent from that class. Grogan was one tough SOB though. He was one of the, if not the last QB to actually call his own plays during the game. Occasionally you'll see it from time to time these days, but they normally radio in the plays from the OC nowadays. If I'm not mistaken, it was Grogan who actually threw the Pat's only touchdown in '85.
As far as Cobb, didn't he pistol whip someone to death?
Enos Slaughter was known for sliding in spikes up also. That's why he got a fastball in the mouth from Jackie Robinson during a double play ball the following season.

Seattle Marathon on Sunday, November 28. Princess will be doing it.

is this your first marathon? I remember mine, such a rush crossing that finish line - quite a sense of accomplishment. Watch out for that wall and remember to drink plenty of fluids. (Upwards of 12 quarts)

I'd have to say Jim McMahon, 1985 Chicago Bears. I hated that guy, would have loved to see him take a helmet in the back. Maybe I hate him just because he beat our Tony Eason and Steve Grogan. Grogan deserved that ring almost as much as Marino. Oh well, he got the job done, I have to give him that.

speak of the devil, just got it in the mail today. I especially like page 21 "Do You Take Seriously Warnings From Reputable Sources?"-it's somewhat funny, the operative word being REPUTABLE. If an organization repeatedly gives dates and nothing comes to fruition (and blames it's followers for misreading the information), aren't they no longer 'reputable'?

I don't think we'll see their demise in our lifetimes...many, having been bent over by the 'tower' in the past may see them as unwavering, unwilling to yield, and insensitive. Yet, like the US military, they are actually willing to try new and different tactics and 'strategeries' in order to gain new recruits.
Just recently, my sister in law offered us one of their new brochures - another new campaign is under way to regain those who have strayed from the flock. (I have yet to receive it, anyone know anything about it?) - From what I was told, this is another brochure not meant for public distribution. Not that I would go back, I'm just curious to see what they're saying now.
