Seattle Marathon on Sunday, November 28. Princess will be doing it.

Rachel (Princess here) will be running in the Seattle Marathon tomorrow. It starts at 8:15 Pacific Time. Let's all cheer her on!

We are going to be there for the finish, and to see her cross the finish line.

Today is the Kid's Marathon final. It's been going all month, where children run 25 miles, accumlative over 4-5 weeks, and run the final lap at a stadium this morning. Rachel organized about 80 kids at her daughter's school, (with the school's permission and assistance) and supervised the running at recess every school day all month. She rented a school bus to take the children and their parents into Seattle for the final.

Today is cold and a bit windy. I hope tomorrow is dry, at least. Running in the rain would be miserable.

I just got back from the Seattle Kids Marathon, I'll try to post some pics as soon as I get them uploaded. It was great! I had 50 kids register and run with me every day until they reached their goal of 25 miles. Fourteen were no-shows for various reasons. At least two have the flu, a few are at their dad's this weekend and some were out of town for the holiday. So we ended up with 36 kids wearing bright red t-shirts and most of their parents and grandparents, the principal and Zoe's teacher. Quite a crowd. The kids had a ball and really accomplished a great thing. I'm really glad I did it even though it was a tremenous amount of work and I spent most of the month of November freezing at the track. There were at least 2500 kids that participated from all around the greater Seattle area.

Tomorrow is supposed to be dry and cold. I'll warm up quickly!
