i am 48 female married 30 yrs to same man, very moral, no drugs no alcohol no smokes..just common plain jane here..since i dont believe does this make me bad association..if it does i laugh in your face...now having said that and getting past this, sounds like so many here are disgruntled..if so why do you stay?

I am also a non and never has been,There are a fair few on this board,so worry not,I came here through a good friend who is an ex JW to learn,I grew up in a fairly stifeling religious way(father a vicar)and it has been suprising how some issues here cross paths,and I made some new friends along the way.

i want to thank all those that helped and encouraged me in my hard times!..hubby passed away from his cancer this morning.
i am so sad my heart is broken.
we decided to go ahead and have a memorial for him this weekend at the kingdom hall he went to.
My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

nearly everyone i know is 40 yrs old this year, even today a good friend reached the big 40. .
i'm 40 in september (omg) and i dont feel any older than when i was 18. do you?
did you dread it, did you make a fuss?
I turned 40 April last year,so Im nearly 41,my Im clever working that out,and I always vowed to grow old as noisely and as disgracefully that I could get away with.
Some of the benefits I have found is,
1.The older you get,the biggar and more complicated toys you can have.
2.A discussion with someone own age or older about different aches and pains,is actually interesting.
3.bits dont drop off like people told they would.
4.I still feel like an 18 year old.

I too have never been a JW,like others here,I came to learn,because of,in my case,a long standing friend who is an ex JW,and I might add,found some new friends along the way,I did grow up with a fairly stifeling religious background,and some issues here are very similar to mine,so you see,it takes all sorts.

how far back can your memory go?.
