  it seems they are now stating that if you allow health problems to cause you to miss meetings or become inactive then you are wicked because you refuse to "get up" from being stumbled.

  This is what has caused my to have doubts and fade.

  I went on a sheperding call with an elder (I'm an M.S.) and he asked the family how often they pray, what they say in prayer and if they have asked for help to make the meetings (They weren't too regular) The bro. said that his elderly mother is living with them and she requires 24 hour care, so they rotate and they don't the $ to hire a nurse. The elder said: "Have you asked for forgivness for missing the meetings? This is a requirement of all christians. Afterward, I talked to the elder in the car and asked: I thought sheperding calls were encouraging? He said yeah, we gave them the needed boost. I said how about we go back and tell them that Jah appreciates the help and mom they give to the eldery woman? Jesus made sure that his mother was cared for when he was passing away. The bro refused.

  Still debating on how to do this:

  1.) use my diabetes as an out and deal with whatever pushback.

  2.) Show infamous deaf JW youtube video to elder and say this guy is describing ME.

  3.) Or just stop answering my phone and door, etc... (I know this option willl bring the "hounds" quick)

  they will not be posted out here on the board.

  if someone else wants to post them, be my guest.. .. we have no other choice in this matter, and sending out confidential documents is better when it is done privately.

  To be honest, I'm not angry at all. I always thought that people who had doubts or turned their back to the borg were angry or bitter. But to me it was lack of requirements for true Christians LOVE.

  Example: A couple years back, a young girl was having a sleep over party with pizza, ice cream, movies etc for other 10-12 yr old girls. My neice was invited. An elder asking me if my neice got the invite too (he had two young girls) I said yeah... (That's all my neice could talk about at the time) He said and I quote:

  Elder: Im not letting my girls go.

  Me: Why?

  Elder: Just, trust me I wouldn't let your neice go either.

  Me: Why, what's the matter?

  Elder: Nothing....

  Me:cool (of course I went home and was wondering why) - Next day I google the family father, mother, kids. Turns out the dad is a registered sex offender. I saw the dude's mug on the Megan's law site

  Me: Elder xxxx, why didn't you tell me? Do the other bros. know?

  Elder: No, and you can't say anything.

  Me: That's not fair, bros. in the know get to protect their kids, while the rest of the friends are in the dark?

  Elder: I didn't say anything, and you can't say anything either.

  I made the mistake and kept, my mouth shut. (My niece didn't go, my sister and her husband had to go out of town that weekend) So we dodged a bullet. But, I always asked myself: why not tell the friends??? That's not loving at all. Why expose children to this monster.

  I REALLY appreciate the advise, seriously. Regarding the 10 yrs of service and why I'm not an elder, I have been told I was too young. I was 20 when apointed and now just had my 30th birthday. I was drawing up my battleplan last night, when I get a call from a friend who is also an M.S. (older, though) he said that he messed up and will be anounced that he is no longer one of J.W.'s at tommorrow's meeting. He said "the BOE is going to really need you know, keep up the hard work!" LOL REALLY! He didn't state what happend but I know for a fact that his wife has been staying with her parents for about two weeks. Back to the point, I understand I have to "stick to my guns" now more than ever the elders will be pressuring me to NOT step down, but I have to stand my ground. I really like the "broken record" tactic using my ailement as an out.

  ***I know it's werid to say this but I've received more help on this board during the past couple days than the last 10 years as an M.S.***

  Yeah, I need to stand my ground. (easier said than done) That's why I was thinking of writing a letter instead of meeting with the elders but that's just delaying the inevitable. Another thought that I had was telling the elders that I was going to go away for a couple months, and just fade. I have to remind myself that when they try to "help" be asking me to continue to work or try the 6 months off, they are just think about the extra work they will now have to do. Another thing, 10 yrs is a long time to be an M.S. I was told once that "maybe" I'll be an elder someday, but never happend. I had no idea that there would be a 2 elder comittee after I resign. I know I can't have it both ways, but I don't see the love at all. For example (the straw that broke the camels back): A good friend of my started doing crystal meth to the point that his wife kicked him out and he entered a drug rehab program to try to get his life back. An elder asked me if I had talked to my buddy (knowing that he and I are good friends) I said not but I was planning on going to see that that weekend. He said don't we have a judicial committe on hold currently once he gets clean we need to talk to him. REALLY!!!! Where's that Christian love that the poor guy needs at that very moment.

  silly me....

  I thought being an M.S. was a voluntary position. and I could just step down. My service hours have really dipped in the past couple months from 20-22 to about 4-5 hrs. Still no one has mentioned it to me even though I am sure they have noticed it. I've been praying because I am really confused, I grew up a JW my 2 siters and brother are all regular pioneers. It's all I know. I've made up my mind after sooooo many years of being a yes-man. I am done! I need break re-examine my sitatution and proceed.

  WOW! Thanks everyone for the encourgement. I have spoken to one of the elders (we were out in field service) about the fact that sometimes I am just SICK. My medical condition is known and accepted at work (Dr's note) IF I am feeling really sick I take off from work and go straight to bed. No problems. The elder said "trust in Jah" he will give you the strenght you need to continue. I started questioning if it was the truth when I started to read the bible with out the watchtower filter. (Just straight NWT) Now, I am no means a scholar, but I see that the cong. is lacking that essential factor. TRUE LOVE, and not just to me, but to the rest of the brothers and sisters. One elder told me, I noticed you missed a lot of meetings. You know that is a requirement for brothers who are M.S.'s or Elders to be regular. unless you are in the hospital or dying we shouldn't miss meetings. My meeting is Friday night, and I am planning on speaking to a few elders and letting them know that I am stepping down. I'm not exactly sure how to do this. Do I just verbally say it, or write a letter?

  Sorry, guys my browser on my phone didn't work. I've been an M.S. for 10 yrs and I am tired. I also am diabetic which means that when I'm feeling bad, I miss the meetings. The texts that I receive from the BOE is: Do you know you have service group on Sat? Are you ready for your public talk on Sun? Can you make another list for cong. assignments. NEVER do they ask how I am feeling, it's always to make sure I am taking care of my assignments. I LOVE this site, I've learned the truth about 607 BCE, the fact that Judas was at the last supper (see Luke's account) I enjoy reading Blondies comments about the WT study, Atlantis and his BOE letters. (I learned about the "new light" from this site, and most of the friends that I have talked to have no idea what I am taling about) LOL
