The attorney representing the Watchtower in this case, Jim McCabe, also represented the WT (Freemont Congregation) in the Candace Conti sexual abuse trial. Notice in the video interview how he nervously admits that the "Biblical" two witness rule in abuse cases takes precedent over secular law.

The Conti verdict (18 million judgement against the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society) is currently in appeal by WT legal.

These - and other - pending court actions against the WT is the main reason why recent publications and talks (did you attend this summer's convention?) are warning about the coming persecution. The blame road is being laid against "apostate liars" for the persecution.

The two "boys" in this mock-u-drama is the sort of people that makes up the talent pool in congregations. Promotion from within the congregation works for the WT's purpose of rewarding the 'loyal' publisher. They 'reach out for responsibility' ... not for the opportunity to humbly assist those in real need.

because of the membership retention issues that seem to continue getting worse, the watchtower corporation appears to be running out of ideas.

in the past, when the numbers have dropped (membership, fs hours, rag placements, money, etc.

) they always came up with a "hook" that would give them a boost until the next drop in numbers (i.e.

1) The vast majority of regular publishers are up in years. The days of car groups filled with young folks sprinting through the neighborhood with the WT message is a thing of the past. So, set up a table with chairs.

2) The display table method makes each publisher very public. It's a great way to separate the 'devoted' in the congregations from the 'slackers'.

3) By placing the publisher in a stationary sales kiosk, the situation encourages conversation .... and confrontation.

hi folks.

i apologize if this is old news to some, but it's news to me.. i stumbled on a comprehensive list of all the sold properties on wikipedia on this link... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/watch_tower_bible_and_tract_society_of_pennsylvania#brooklyn_property_sales.

it's just a mind-boggling amount of money, and useful information to have handy when talking to witness relatives.

One thing is a given. They aren't going to blow this money. The GB and WT leadership are in for the long haul.

The persons in position with control of funds will be conservative. And they know that "money makes money". Investments will be made. Costs will be minimized. The pressure will continue for congregations to speed up repayment of KH 'loans' and for publishers to increase their donations to the 'worldwide work'.

if there's one scripture that defines the entire purpose of a jehovah's witness's existence, it's matthew 24:14.

"this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.".

this is the entire purpose of going door to door.

Read the publications carefully! The opening letter in the Yearbook is a good place to start...

The reason for producing the magazines/tapes/videos etc is very clear. The GB's job is to "feed the sheep" - those that are baptized Jehovah's Witnesses - not the world's population. They admit this freely.

It's the publisher's job to bring in (or birth) new converts. Then these new publishers will be given "food at the proper time".

Consider yourself one of the fortunate few who decide not to be co-dependant WT drones for the rest of their lives.

Use this energy in a positive way. Make plans. Set goals. Move on.

Giving them the 'finger' only reinforces the notion that you are an apostate under demonic control.

what i have realized studying JWs,the bitter truth

well, i have been studying jws religion ,my cousin is a jw and i have visited him a lot of times.i have watched his way of living and things like that.i have been at the district convention last week.i read so many things from both sides.i came to the conclusion that if someone believes god exists then it is so easy and he should be a jehovah's witness.sadly its true and that is why so many people are and every year they baptised even more.. stories about jws reducing?wrong.. facing problems?

false.. everybody in the convention had an ipad ,iphones etc with the bible in it.

iCeltic - The Court froze all assets of the WTBTS after Candace Conti was awarded the 17 million dollar judgement. This way the corporations could not liquidate properties and redistribute funds during a possible long appeal process.

The Watchtower Society attempted to post the Patterson Educational Complex as a surety bond. The prosecution team for Conti argued the risk of using real estate as surety and the judge agreed.

The WT then obtained a surety bond of 17 million through Travelers Casualty and Surety Company of America. As soon as the WT provided proof of the bond to the California court, the asset freeze against them was released.

At that time the Society continued liquidation of all real estate assets in Brooklyn.

i'm just wondering has any body ever been busted on an apostate site because someone was able to identify them because of something they wrote.

why i ask this question is because how would this be explained at a jc.

because the person who reported it to the jc was reading something that they shouldn't of.

Elders will justify any means to an end.

During the current convention program - on Saturday, the speakers make it very clear about apostates, how to identify them, how to treat them.

It's identified that apostates use the news media to LIE about the activities of Jehovah's Witnesses and the organization. And that even sharing emails with links to news items or blogs is the beginning of 'apostate thinking'. By dressing in a way that mimics the 'outlandish fashions of the world', a publisher is exhibiting apostate thinking. Do not read blogs, view internet forums or watch television shows that feature 'apostates' - for they are the 'cooks in the kitchen of the Devil'.

The primary function when dealing with apostasy is to 'keep the congregation clean'. Translate: silence or disfellowship any that exhibit the above attitude or behavior.
