Lol thanks for addressing my concerns. Maybe having a few whiskies before I post my story isn't such a bad idea...

Hey thanks again all for such a warm welcome.
Thanks Mouthy - your legendary reputation preceeds you - I'm a big fan!
I've just written part 1 of my story this evening, but now I'm a bit scared to post it, to be honest.
Part 1 hasn't got to the negative stuff about the JWs yet, but if someone reads all my posts and puts it together, I think there is probably just enough detail to track me down. Am I overreacting?

Wouldn't the Almighty God have done a much better job than that?
by Terry inhere is some good advice:.
ask the jw you are studying with where the original manuscripts of the bible are kept.. see if they are even aware of the fact there are none in existence anywhere!.
their religious views are from men who assert that the bible is their foundation.

Went to see the fragments at the Chester Beatty museum in Dublin this summer. Was actually quite amazed at how good condition they looked from what you expect seeing photos of them. If I'm down Manchester way I might see if I can get a look in the John Rylands library.

A rumor has it....
by jeremiah18:5-10 inacoording to this letter to the society posted on anoitedjw (i realize some here do not hold it in high regard) the wts has not had any articles about the memorial or any mention of jesus in articles leading up to the memorial (public version).
instead 2-3 articles on moses and one on judas.
also rumor has it that the wts will no longer be posting the amount of partakers, (perhaps for fear of how many are going to begin partaking?!?).

You can be sure there will be plenty of articles that stress "obey the GB" though.
Maybe they were so tied up with schools for beating elders and also deciding if/how they will publish the "new light" that they just had to say: "oops we forgot Jesus again - how clumsy are we? Sorry Jesus - maybe next year you can have your turn".

The sin of Sodom and Gomorrah- What does the bible REALLY teach?
by irondork inas with most doctrines, the belief that the bible condemns homosexuality is multi-layered and allegedly supported by several scriptures.
when he raised his eyes he got to see the man, the traveler, in the public square of the city.
let me bring them out, please, and you rape them and do to them what is good in your eyes.

And yet Manasseh and King David etc. can be forgiven for all the stuff they did?

An interesting application indeed.
I guess it makes me think of a form of xenophobia/racism that we even see today. If you replace "dominance" in the above argument with "superiority" then it's not unlike Nazism or K.K.K. type groups of modern times.
