  Where was the instruction that only the GB can define who is and who is not a 'predator'?

  That was the Oct 1st 2012 BOE letter that got Cedars' blog suspended for a while.

  I just thought, there is actually one thing in their favor if they lost - as a non-charitable organisation, they wouldn't be required to openly declare their finances, so they could shift money around much more easily, especially in light of the recent huge cash grab from the congregations. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit though.

  Also, Half banana - you're maybe underestimating how much gift aid is worth to them. I don't think it's been mentioned on here, but gift aid these days isn't quite like it used to be where publishers had to make out a form and specifically declare that they wished their donations to be gift-aided (and very few publishers bothered to do it).

  There was a new rule brought in over a year ago where they could say that any donation under £20 in the congregation box can be claimed back with gift aid. In the congregation here, even if there is more than £20 in the box, they will make out separate, individual receipts if it looks like the money could be from more than one person. (i.e. if it's two ten-pound notes rolled together, then that's obviously just from one person, but otherwise it gets divided into amounts smaller than £20 and put on separate receipts)

  They'd also lose the 20% boost on gift-aid donations or any contributions under £20 (i.e. most contributions)

  Also, I think they'd start paying V.A.T. (20%) on anything purchased?

  i noticed that in paragraph 13 they mention the girl sheryl that i believe was the same girl that was in their video about the typhoon that hit the philippines back in 2013. they talk as if she's so happy and thankful to jehovah even mention that she lost most of her family in that typhoon.

  what they don't mention was her family members that were killed in that typhoon were inside a kh thinking they were going to be protected by jehovah since they were in gods house and his people and all.

  they also fail to mention that the government authorities were telling people to get out of town but the elders were most likely telling the people in their congregations to stick around and just come to the hall.

  If that is Jehovah's idea of "blessing" people then I think I'll be better off without it, thanks!

  Of course, the JW's are waiting for Jehovah to "bless" the whole earth, i.e. kill 99% of the population.

  Yeah I meant to mention it too - the mobile menu closes when you click on the search, presumably because it's set to do so onblur.

  I just hack it by going to the search page address and adding my search query to the URL:

  (Also an empty search gives a "Server Error" message rather than a slightly nicer "You didn't search for anything!" message.)
