I'm no expert, but it is my understanding that grandparents have no rights to visitation in the US if the parents are functional and don't want it.

i am hoping someone may be able to give me some guidance on behalf of my son.
my ex-wife, who remains a jw, is threatening to go to court to get visitation with our 5 year old grandchild.
she had regular visits with our grandchild, but when my son (no longer a jw) and his wife (never a jw) found out that his mother was teaching their daughter the jw religion without their permission and even telling our grandchild not to tell their parents... well to say the least, that was a game-changer.

i keep reading of some guy who is so upset at someone that he goes into a theater and shoots 20 people..
or a kid that is so mad that the other kids made fun of him that he goes to school and shoots a bunch of kids..
or some guy that was fired from his job and he goes back and shoots of bunch of his workers.
I have wondered the same thing. There is a saying that when someone has nothing left to lose, they lose it. But I thought of a few factors.
The GB as a whole would be the real target, and you can't just walk into their meeting. IMO you'd have to take them out "Breaking Bad" style or suicide bomb them all at once. (No, I'm not crazy or issuing threats) As far as I know, the only time they are together in public is at the annual meeting, and that is invitation only. So, not so easy. Besides, people don't suicide bomb in this country, It's not our style, but sadly suicide is.(RIP oompa/Eric Reeder)
You would have to figure that even the worst ex JW wouldn't go for revenge, Pissed is a state that usually goes on to depression, then, hopefully, acceptance. Just my .02

i drove by a large public library today and saw not one but two literature carts (one on each side of the entrance) no more than 5-8 feet from the door.
i would have a valid complaint if i called the city right?
.
Not necessarily,
Thought it was a good question, so did a little googling and and found this.

it's hard enough for businesses to enter these areas the government once had to offer up tax breaks to service them.
in watts, california it took decades for city residents to get a grocery store after the thugs burned their businesses to the ground.
you can see the insanity taking place, when you allow mobs and fools to burn building down nothing good comes from it.

my siblings mother in law died recently, and there was a condolence posted with the borg website.
i googled the name of the poster, and found the same condolence on 100s of funeral home websites!!!
many of these sites dont have mods or a way to report a website promotion.

Many of these sites don’t have mods or a way to report a website promotion. I mean who would stoop that low? Yep, they would. Nothing wrong with posting a (scriptural) condolence to someone you don’t know, but to promote the website? That’s low.
I feel ambivalent. I’m angry that they are targeting those who are potentially emotionally distraught. On the other hand, they look like desperate fools for doing it.
I’m not the activist type, but I’m half tempted to call HQ and ask them about this, tell them how deplorable this is, and to send a letter to the congregants discouraging the practice.

in a recent thread someone mentioned that the wtbts uses mind control techniques.
do you think this is a conscious ploy?
if it is it would mean that the leaders of my religion (i am still an active jw) set out consciously to control people.
I agree with done4good.
4thgen, not to get off topic, but the method seems to catch many in an emotionally fragile state, then the love bombing reels em in. At least that's how it was for me.
