Hi,

You may not necessarily lose your friend if you stop studying, although he may become more distant. If you are not baptized, you won't necessarily be shunned. The people being "nice" at the hall is what is know as "love bombing".

If you tell the person you are studying with what you have discovered, he will label the material "apostate" saying they are lies from Satan. This is know as an "ad hominem" attack. It is type of "logical fallacy". Logical fallacies are used extensively by JW's. I suggest you learn the many types, and how they are used.

Bear in mind that JW's believe that 7 men in New York are directing the world's only true religion and there is no transparency in the organization and their leaders.

hello people.. i'm tired and a bit sick at the moment but i can't let anyone think that this is going to go away.... i am able to tell you a few things in order to prevent any confusion in the minds of those who are thinking that nothing will come of this arc;that nothing will effect the wtbts in america and other places.. i have been there and given my testimony.

helen milroy and her assistants were there along with another group of people who are there to lend assistance if you crack up at any time during or after the hearing.

i did not crack up but can see how this happens.. security is tight and anonymity is sacred to them as they want to protect all who come forward.

Yes, this in conjunction with the bending truth video is good, but I really was blow away by a recent program (no pun intended) about the brain. It's on PBS here in the US. Here is a link to watch one episode, things are very well articulated about 40 mins in.Really helps getting over "how could I be so stupid?"

so yesterday my mom had be update her tablet and the jw library app (she is technologically challenged).

after i did, she told me if i knew how to get the jw chanel on tv.

(i assume she meant those weird videos the gb has been releasing).

It is the number one religious channel on Roku, next to all the other religious channels for the public to view. It's blatant televangelism, but the more correct term is (image based multimedia) propaganda. Actually, all propaganda is image based.

But in answer, the easiest way to get jw tv is to get a roku.

The Military Failure of the United States of America. Why?

the usa is undoubtedly the strongest military power in the world, and has often been willing to use that power against other nations, some historians count 187 foreign wars in 200 years, and this youtube video lists the wars the us has fought in the twentieth century, most of which, (in the earliest part of the 20th c) it can be argued, were won by the usa.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q51nfakme-g. this is not an argument about the rightness or wrongness of any war.

the argument is why the mightiest ever military power, a political power that controls overwhelming destructive forces, a power that claims to stand on the side of its god, does not win wars?

There is a lot of great writing on this subject (by social critics). Check out Chris Hedges, esp "War is a force that gives us meaning". Also, Morris Berman, Noam Chomsky ect. Your paper might get pretty thick.
