this is the email i have just sent to mr. stewart angus, who has been conducting the questioning of the jw leaders during the australian royal commission dealing with child abuse cases among the jehovah's witnesses, concerning the claims made that a jehovah witness who wishes to walk away from the organization can simply become inactive and avoid being shunned:.
dear mr. angus stewart,
i have followed with interest the videos of the arc regarding the jehovah's witnesses in australia.

dear mr. angus stewart,
i have followed with interest the videos of the arc regarding the jehovah's witnesses in australia.
I just wanted to suggest emailing the ARC with your comments rather than the lead attorney. I found them to be very competent and the info well get to the right person.

one voice can be stronger than a thousand voices.
your mind is independent now.
with its own unique identity.
okay cut to the chase.
the united states has got a problem.
hillary clinton is so unpopular that practically any republican who ran against her would probably have beaten her.
Democracy, that's a laugh. How could you buy this propaganda? Does anyone talk about ending imperialism? No, because 70% of discretionary spending is on the military. Corporate powers make big money on war, and are not about to stop. Voting means nothing.

ecerpt from a Morris Berman speech Nov 4 2011:
the French writer Denis Duclos, who is a
director of the CNRS, the research institute in Paris,
pegged the problem of the obsession with having an
enemy and the violence that results from that in his book
of 1994 Le Complexe du loup-garou, The Werewolf
Complex. In his epilogue to the 2005 edition, Duclos
writes that “America is always dependent on a werewolf
figure, a dark, savage beast that’s out to destroy it. The
beast,” he says, “changes in content, but the form is
always the same. At the center of this,” he says, “is a
terrible fear that Americans have of emptiness, which is an
anxiety of not existing, and they disguise this with a
hyperactive optimism.” -----Have a nice day. ----“A curious
society,” he writes, “a people who don’t know who they
really are. Like the Romans, they see themselves under
siege.” And, he says, “This could finally trigger a fascist
populism,” which, of course, we’re seeing with the Tea
Party. “The American fear of the monster,” he writes, “has
always marked its history, whether this exists on the inside
or the outside. This leads to isolating the country in a sort
of collective psychosis that can only contribute to
international instability.”
In fact, that’s how most of the world sees us. A few
years ago there was an international poll that asked the
question, “Which nation do you believe is the greatest
threat to world peace?” The United States and Israel said
Iran, and everybody else said the United States. Writing in
Der Spiegel last August, the German journalist Jakob
Augstein argues that the U.S. is basically a failed state; it’s
not part of the West anymore, and that Europe needs to
keep its distance from what is a very different and
apparently, his word, “insane” political culture. There is,
he concludes, no deliverance in sight for the U.S.
What does mental health mean in an individual case?
It’s at least this: That a person knows his or her personal
narrative and is able to see it from the outside and, as a
result of this transparency, at least try to do something
about it. Perhaps the same thing is true of a nation or a
civilization. I don’t know. But what I know is that there is
very little understanding in the U.S. as to what the
underlying narrative is, or even the fact that there is an
underlying narrative. This seems to escape most
Americans, almost all.
i was a 4th gen born in.my adult children were the 5th.

Wow, congratulations.
I hope you get justice for the pedophile. This is a very compelling experience, and could help benefit others and prevent further abuse/injustice.
When the time is rite, consider sharing with balanced exjw activists (you should also email this to the ARC, it WILL help them.)

this is what happened.
i had a sore tendon in my wrist.
i could work with it, but nevertheless the pain was there.
Great comments, I'm astounded this thread has remained so balanced.
I'm of the Socratic ideal, there is so much we don't know, especially about the brain. People bang their heads and become super geniuses. I looked up something I read a few weeks ago.

Randi shut up because (some) scientists' admitted telekinesis, but couldn't explain it.

I know first hand there is a "force" in psyco/telekinesis, but have no idea why. Similarly, the "magic" in the mushrooms, DMT ect.

...is an epic triumph is emotional manipulation.
bringing together all of the stories they told thus far and placing them int he "new world" complete with the little boy who was killed in a car accident coming back from the dead.. i have a good friend who is stuck in with family and plays the role.
he said everyone was crying, and the people next to him rated the videos by how many tissues they needed to dry their eyes.
Agreed kairos, thanks for bumping, this was the thread I couldn't find. For us TATT'ers, it's so easy to make fun of this propaganda.
Last month when I drove by a kingdom hall, there were some people in the parking lot, and I yelled out my open window. "It's a CULT!"
I don't think they heard me, but I was laughing for over 5 mins, felt good.

jw brod-cast put the rc on youtube, but the "new system" last video with the chanting is muted.
i know someone found the song, but can't find it now.
does this mean they don't have public permission to use it?
Thanks Barrold, don't know much about that stuff, but it wouldn't surprise me if they used it without permission. I wonder if they'll buy a few more telly awards for their new display case.

Jw brod-cast put the RC on youtube, but the "new system" last video with the chanting is muted. I know someone found the song, but can't find it now. Does this mean they don't have public permission to use it? Or would they have to pay for rights to use it on youtube? I'm just very curious as to why it is muted.
Thanks,

i think for me in the last year the death of david bowie got to me the most.
not only in the way he handled his demise so classy by even making a song about it and a you tube about dying and sharing it with fans, but just his whole persona i always thought was pretty cool.
plus i enjoyed a good many of his songs.
