Does this mean they don't have public permission to use it? Or would they have to pay for rights to use it on youtube? I'm just very curious as to why it is muted.

i think for me in the last year the death of david bowie got to me the most.
not only in the way he handled his demise so classy by even making a song about it and a you tube about dying and sharing it with fans, but just his whole persona i always thought was pretty cool.
plus i enjoyed a good many of his songs.

PS I met Stevie in 84 after a great show, he was pretty hammered though.
i'm currently going through a bout of depression and my eating disorder has gotten worse.
ever since my parents actually told me that they are going to kick me out when i turn 18 i've felt kind of hopeless about my life.
my parents won't take me to the doctor because the psychiatrists won't have my "best interests" aka jw crap in mind, because really that's the root of all my problems.. i'm wondering if any of you guys have any advice with dealing with depression?

You'd have to be crazy not to be depressed in your situation. IMO, the real core of the problem is in the culture. The US has the #1 depression rate in the world. See Here
My advise would be to "spin straw into gold", try to find a new surrogate family and social network. I would strongly consider some kind of foreign exchange/education. Search for ways to fund it. Your soon free from your old family, forge a path for yourself and your siblings.
You want to cure depression, get a passport and get the hell out of here. That's what I'm gonna do as soon as I'm free of my parental care taking responsibilities.

Sorry about your parents. That's got to be a hard pill to swallow. Thank God you didn't get baptized. Lisa gives very good advice.
At this point, you don't have to be a good Jw. You can refuse meetings and service etc. Sounds like they are telling you to live a double life for their own status in the cong. If you refuse and they get abusive, call the cops first. (When the cops come for domestic problems, the reflection is so bad on your parents to the BORG, that they will likely be put on restrictions in the hall, and loss of elder status.) But that would be an extreme move on your part.
Unless your aunt get guardianship, your parents will have some control.
The good news is, at least you know where you stand.

Giving what I know, it is better to fade than to quit. You should wait till 18, but you can start your fade now. Here's why I think you should wait until 18. (and set up your aunt, and your life, for post 18)
I think in FL, you can't move out without your parents consent until 18.
Your father could be removed as elder if you tell.
Post 18 fade excuses get easier ie working, busy, depressed, sick, confused......whatever.
Tough it out now, and do everything you can to pre-fade, get out of the house, try to meet others outside the BORG, and set up your life, and I think that would do the least damage.

so last thursday was meeting day.
my wife knows my thoughts on this religion and respects my fade and is completely ok with it (which surprised me, and also made me love her even more).
i think she must know it's all crack-pot stuff but seeing as her whole family are all in and about 98% of them cant even explain their beleifs without a watchtower on hand i think she's just going along for the friends/family/social side of it.
Oh well. I'd rather have just one "worldly" friend that likes me for who i am than 8 million "brothers" that really only speak to me when they need to.

I actually get what the op is saying, but it's not being articulated in a cohesive way. (no offense) Social criticism usually only reaches a small audience. bringing together all of the stories they told thus far and placing them int he "new world" complete with the little boy who was killed in a car accident coming back from the dead.. i have a good friend who is stuck in with family and plays the role.
he said everyone was crying, and the people next to him rated the videos by how many tissues they needed to dry their eyes.

my parents have been constantly pressuring me and after yesterday's watchtower study they asked me if i was going to be baptized this summer... and i said yes.
i probably should have thought about it more before making a final decision, but they're pretty much forcing me to do it anyway.
