  Would the world be a better place without religion?

  i understand we all need guidance and some people need hope, even if it is not real.

  but personally, i believe religion has caused so many hideous crimes against humanity that it is something we would all be better off without.. it really is too bad that religion has capitalized on humankind's need for a divine being to only abuse and control its fellow humans.. so, what do you think?

  would we be better of without religion?.

  The belief in God or not does not make a person good or bad. Its their love for humanity, which is separate than religion. Sure, some religions teach us to do this, but so do social mores. Religion does more to divide humanity than join them together.

  MTV Road Rules has an ex-JW

  my gf was watching road rules on mtv (i was busy doing something else, thank god!

  ) and i overheard the new person say she was raised a jw but when she got raped by a church member and nothing was done about it, she stopped going.

  she said her parents split up and no longer go to meetings earlier.

  My GF was watching Road Rules on MTV (I was busy doing something else, thank god!) and I overheard the new person say she was raised a JW but when she got raped by a church member and nothing was done about it, she stopped going. She said her parents split up and no longer go to meetings earlier. She mentioned a little about how bad it was being a JW, only being able to have JW friends, etc etc.

  Just goes to show the general public that were not making this stuff up.

  My Girlfriend will download some porn for us to watch if she feels in the mood. Its not just about victimizing women. She enjoys it just like I do.

  I'm just waiting for my Dr. to hand me two DVDs and say Watch two of these and call me in the morning.

  Witnesses do gamble

  we all know that witnesses say that they don't gamble, but do they?

  i don't mean gambling with lotteries, i mean gambling with life.. many witnesses attend meetings and follow the jw way of life, not because they like it, but because they are afraid of dying at armageddon, so they gamble with their current life, or take a chance, and follow the group, just incase they would win eternal life with the witnesses.

  some give away nice life oportunities, marriage, good jobs etc, and gamble all that away, for possibly a better prize..

  isn't the whole thing against gambling boil down to making a profit off of other peoples' losses? Isn't that what the WTS is doing, profiting off of all the dubbies lost lives.

  Wild Animals in Paradise

  i remember when they said that wild animals wouldn't be wild anymore in paradise.

  we could be right next to these wild animals, and no harm would come to us.. i remember seeing magazines with pictures of young children and lions next to each other.

  is it realistic to believe that all animals would be nice to each other and peaceful, like shown in the magazines?
