I'm sure we can all find that 1 example to counter this theory. when dealing with psychology, we look at generalities. There could be that 1 guy who buys a saturn because he like them. But when 99% of the population goes the other way, its speaks volumes to me.

There has been recent discussion on Saturns, that wonderful reliable automobile. I just wanted to make sure we were all clear and on the same page:
1. Saturn are nice, reliable and affordable cars designed for WOMEN. Occasionally men will buy them, but these men fall into 2 catagories. Gay or Married. Gay because they are more feminine and married men because their wives wanted the car and they got stuck with it because the wife wants to drive the SUV.
2. Perhaps the saddest thing in a divorce where a saturn is involved is in the case where the Husband gets possession of the Saturn. Sure, he can get to and from work, but thats about it. He has NO chance of ever meeting somebody else while driving his saturn, because it sucks the testosterone right out of him.
3. Ever notice the saturn commercials? Always pointed towards women or families. usually the male is a pudgy guy who would make a great husband for that woman who wants a saturn. Their whole "No Haggle" sales tactic is to reel women in, because the majority of them want to "Shop" for a car rather than "make a deal."
4. Cars are an important aspect of American Society. There are so many choices of what car to buy, so what car we choose to drive tells lots about the individual. If you saw a guy driving around in a VW Cabrio, what would you think? Or a white Mazda Miata?? First thing that comes to mind is "Gay" (not that there is anything wrong with that) Old guy in a Vett, midlife crisis.
Thanks for your time

A couple of ??'s
by JG insince my wife has been attending meetings recently, and i have been going with her i have noticed a change.. i mentioned i thought it was weird that after the sun talk and before watchtower study they would announce the number of people who had attended and invite them to stay for the wt study.
since i mentioned this to an elder it has stopped.
i have never heard it again.

They did the same, attendance & invite in my old cong. I think its the new policy. I also noticed how the chairman also tried to recap on some points of the talk. he would say "We all enjoyed how you brough out that adam and eve were real people, 6000 years ago rather than mythological people." then would say "I'd like to invite all 7 people in attendance to stay for the Watchtower."

Feeling depressed
by truthseeker1 inits weird...i was feeling fine all day and then all of a sudden i just feel depressed.. i'm wondering if i made a mistake divorcing my wife.
i know i made a right decision leaving the wt, but just wonder if i should have stuck it out with her.
not that she wanted me or anything, thats the main reason why i left.

This is all great guys. I don't think I'm clinically depressed, I'm usually pretty ok. Just hit a rough spot.
I just wanted to point out that is is something UPBUILDING. I was always told you evil apostates didn't do anything upbuilding, only trying to tear people away from the WT. This is proof of quite the opposite. I appreciate all teh comments and concerns. I do just need to get out of the house, meet some people, start going to the gym. I think i'll be ok, and if not, I do computer support for the mental health dept for my county, so I have lots of clinicians who can help me out
