The coffee at the hospital I work at is usually pretty good. Better yet, its free. But today it is yuckie! I'm not sure if it actually tastes like 'poo poo', but it doesn't taste good.
Anyone else suffering through the day with bad coffee tastes in their mouths? Or maybe some other bad/strange taste in your mouth?

Under or Over? What's it for you?
by ozziepost ina source of irritation in many households centres around the toilet.
men leaving the toilet seat up and all that, but what about the toilet roll?.
for years mrs ozzie insists on putting the roll on the holder so the sheets come from under whereas i like it the opposite way with the sheets coming over the top.

Well, when I left the house, I left the toilet seat up and the TP roll empty ;)
But I didn't use the last square, that was my gf. I prefer to have the roll come from over the top, I usually switch it to that way if its put on the other way. I don't see any benifit of it coming out under the roll. Over the roll is easier to grab, and looks nicer. When its under, there is always a piece hanging down, looking sloppy.

i'm an ardent buffy fan - can't help but love the humour and am very sad now that it's over, but thatd oesn't stop me watching the dvds.

Dinosaurs...What are your thoughts?
by Crooked Lumpy Vessel inthe "why do animals die" thread got me thinking about the dinosaurs.
why would god create a species of animals and then completely destroy them or allow them to be destroyed.
would he do that to humans too?.

If I could create a huge reptilian species, I'd kill them too. Then i can claim the annihilation of an entire species, again. Its a power trip.
Now, answering the 'my thoughts' question: I think they were the dominant animal life form for millions of years until the climate changed and they could not survive. Then mammals, who are more suitable for adaption, came into being.

If praying makes you feel better, gives you a feeling that you are doing something by all means do it. As pointed out, it can't hurt.
But there is a point where action instead of prayer needs to be taken. Like when a JW child reports abuse to an elder and since there is only 1 witness, they Pray that it works itself out.

I'm not bitter at all. If you are happy with prayer, then go for it. I don't believe that it has any effect on the outcome what-so-ever. What could, is if someone who is ill knows that a lot of people have him in their thoughts, it could change their attitude and give them a higher chance of survival. I believe a positive outlook does make a greater chance of survival.
My only beef is if prayer is the ONLY thing that is done. If I'm lost in the desert, I'd hope my family went out to look for me instead of pray that I found my way out.
