Will the GB now accept Higher Learning???
by 7Starz inreported in many news outlets today including the wall street journal: president obama is pushing for the first two years of a community college to be included in the normal education of the country's children.
the education law currently has a free education from k-12 and obama now wants to include a 2 year community college degree for free (well the tax payers will pick up the tab).
so basically k-12 and a 2 year college associates degree.. if this becomes law, will the gb change their view on higher education and say:.

Why do Christian nations think they can assimilate Muslims into their communities , does Islam attempt to assimilate Christians in their communities ?
by smiddy inislam /muslims today are what christianity was centuries ago , the two beleif systems are like oil and water , not to be mixed .
christians are not tolerated spreading their infectious disease amongst muslims, in islamic countrys , and harsh penalties apply for them doing so in muslim countries , including the death penalty.
stonings , whippings etc.. on the other hand christian nations are very tolerant of muslim extremists who incite hatred and violence on their own territory , and they get a slap on the wrist and say dont do it again .

Hey Mikado, what of Saudi Arabia, Qatar or Iran? You can be an Islam apologist if you want. Islam is incompatible with modern values, period. Can you name a single predominantly Muslim country at peace without a brutal dictator at the helm? That's right. None.

Most Damning Publication?
by Wild_Thing inof all of the watchtower's many publications dating now to all the way back to russell, which one publication is the most damning in showing they are a complete crachpot of a religion?
and i course, i mean which original publication before they changed a few words and reprinted!.
personally, i think it is probably russell's the divine plan of the ages.

Revelation its Grand Climax was updated, meaning some stuff in the old version reach their "use by" date. You can live forever, with the chapter no one could explain satisfactorily.

He should have been given something infinitely better, the good news, instead of a winning lottery ticket or a new house. The new system is just around the corner, remember?

WT asking for $$ in 1918
by startingover ini remember a couple of times in the past when publishers were given slips to fill out asking for an amount that could be contributed on a regular basis.
i had no idea it went back this far.
wonder if this started when rutherford got control.

"The world is so bad!!"
by stuckinarut2 ini am getting so sick of constantly hearing witnesses say "the world is getting so bad...etc...blah blah....etc...".
yes, there are troubles in some parts of the world, but most of the ones whinging live in some of the most peaceful and fortunate countries (such as australia).
the constant doom and gloom mentality actually shows a lack of respect for life itself!!!!

Even in those trouble spots, life is not so bad compared with say 100yrs ago.
