  i slept horribly last night because of stress.

  it's been a while since i had insomnia, but the meetings are slowly causing that disorder to make a comeback.

  the " bible " study was one of the most messed up things that i have heard in a long time.

  Had the dfing talk with sister in law this week. I saw has unreasonable they are when it comes to shunnîng. I would have had more success talking to a rock.

  i have been lurking here for about a month or two.

  it is really awesome to read so many similar experiences.. for example, when i was still 'in' i wondered if i was the only one in the hall that really hated the meetings.

  Momentofsurrender, WELCOME I am a third generation who basically left JWs 2 decades ago. I have recently only another born-in can understand our strange backgrounds. I am married to a former JW and we only discovered our differnt thought process after 46 years of marriage. His mom became a strong JW when he was 12. JW.net is where I am finally finding I am not alone in trying to find out the TTATT. Keep serching anf i am sure it will coe together for us all. Again I send you a warm WELCOME GMA-TIRED 2

  so my husband (who was never a jw) saw a christian bumper sticker today and asked me if the witnesses have any.

  i said no (not that i know of anyway) so here are a few he came up with.. 'honk if you're a zombie'.

  No one who leaves "the truth" is ever happy?

  for years, i was told this..... " anyone who leaves the org is bitter, sad, and worse off, why do you think they come back???

  guess what guys i am the opposite, now i quit cold-turkey (looking back, i should have faded correctly) i am planning on going to the memorial this month just to hear all "the friends" tell me how much they missed me.

  since i have left the meetings, (jan. was my last meeting, i think).

  El Guapo I remeber hearing that staement all my life now I have a new statement We now learn what true happiness as does my family. I wsh them the avility to find happiness. Congraulations sounds as if stress is leaving your life and happiness is entering.

  SOrry to hear about your mom. Siblings put a lot of pressure on the parents. How JWs have put family members in such a rug a war is so sad. They cannot even own that they break up families. Keep strong the life knowing TTATT is so much more rewarding, and remember all us here understand and will happily listen to your family experiences

  i have a sister-in-law that has hurt me deeply with her jw attitudes and decisions.

  she does not shun me or her brother but shuns one of our children.

  i am suffering from depression taking anti depressants to cope and i have fibromagiya with intensifies with stress.

  I did it. I had a hard time confronting her because I don't like hurting others, but the result of her action she had done deep damage to one of my children. She cried, denied she did it, then when I gave her info on her actionsnshe has now lost all memory, I assured her, her brother me, and our children rmembered and have had to live with the fallout for the last 18 years. If she had not chose to shun her nephew and led her grandmother to do same I would not havw confronted her. Her first action contributed to my child being so hurt and changed his life so dramatically that he would not have put himself in a position to be df'd. She handle this by typically running to the Elders. If they show up on our doorstep hubby says she will be hearing from him and he will have nothing nice or kind to say.. BTW he listened to everything I said to her and how it was said.
