Sad Sad Sad. To think a mother could fall for such crap!!! They were so right, the love of the majority would cool off, It has destroying relationships within in families. This is the one point that hurts me so deeply, thankfully my children are also ex JWs. No one can seperate me from my family, it is one of the main reasons I am an ExJw.

Pyramid - Common Knowledge?
by NeverKnew ini was telling my extended family (also non-jws) about the pyramid near russell's grave i saw months ago.
i showed them pictures of the four sides and the interesting inscriptions along with the pictures of the founder's grave.. there are a couple of jw women who come to see my cousin every once in a while.
last week, she mentioned the pyramid.

Liz we are all in different stages of our awakening. I was born in a JW family 65 years ago. I have for the most part set back and watched, absorbed, and saw things change that started disturbing my Bible training. I have seen Elders go from being loving, kind shepherds to many becoming power hungry . As you read something on this site don't take it as gospel but take what you hear and do your own research. For myself I have seen this religion change so many teachings I don't even recognize it as the same religion the changes have been to dramatic. Read and Think and Research and not just in JW publications, but that is a good place to start.

The one thing that really has thrown me for a loop is that Jesus is not my mediator. Many other things that have been mentioned, but this one issue has my mind cnfused enough thar I have brought it up to several fadng JWS. None knew this and one keeps asking more about this My best friend asked if all our prayers have been wasted..

My 8 year old daughter tells me she is an atheist...???
by sosoconfused inso since we have not been to a meeting in 6 months or so, i decided to ask my daughter (on the way home from cheerleading practice - yeah i can't believe i am letting her engage in such a worldly activity lol) if she misses going to the kingdom hall.
she says sometimes because she can't see her friend - but she has made new friends so it doesn't bother her too much.
so i ask her, "well, what about learning about jehovah?

Introduction
by XPineProcessionary ini've been active on the jwr site for a few months now and thought i'd introduce myself here, as well.
long story short we served in ecuador and south korea, and in several "need greater" (vomit) places in the usa.
we got our necks cut off for putting ourselves out there, which was a good thing in the end, since it helped us to see that the gb is self-serving.

I'm done with religion as my husband is done also. No organized religion for us.
