A very dear life long friend died

he died a little over 7 months ago.

his liver failed and didn't get the transplant we all were hoping for.

1 of his daughters just latched on to me.

As a grandmother of two teen granddaughters, teens can be very emotional. They haven't learned to understand that life doesn't revolve around them. We need to shoe patience ans most do grow up some faster than others. I can tell you there is a big difference between 16 and 2O.

Steve 2 I forgot about 70s Kingdom News tracts and I actually took part in distributing them. I liked it because I really didn't have to have conversations with the householders. . Now as a householder it bugs me. I have a new prospective.

I have a Grandson!

my first grandson, and he is beautiful.

i remember so clearly thinking i would never graduate from high school in this "system of things".. .

this boy will play soccer/football/basketball/band/baseball/camp, whatever the h, e, double l, he is passionate about.. .

All I can say its not the same religion I grew up in. In the 4 years I haved lived in this state this is the first time we haved had a JW knock on our door. I actually feel a little insulted by the blitzing, I guess I have been out so long I didn't know how much it is a knock and run actvity now. It was not worth the effort for my husband and I to go thru the effort to answer the door. I had to grab our dog and restrain her before hubby answered the door, and the to have a pamplet shoved in his hand. We really didn't want to talk to her but felt we should of had that option. Oh well we now have another 4 years until the next knock,

Why are they so quick to shun?

cedars story made me wonder why are parents and loved ones so quick to shun??

i mean it can be shown biblically that only people that do not believe in jesus as the messiah are apostates.

thessalonians tells us to keep admonishing one as a 'brother' and jesus christ himself said to love your enemies.

Why do they shun? They shun because they have been convinced this a kind and loving thing to do. They shun because they have been taught this pleases Jehovah. They shun because they fear of being disfellowshiped themselves. I have had this discussion with two different family members, they cannot discuss in a reasonable manner because they both went into panic mode. Brainwashing in a cult works.

Spring hill fl JW kid is forced to pledge allegiance tothe flag

saw this article on yahoo.

there was a little jw kid whose teacher made him stand up and salute the flag and/or say the pledge in class.

he went to the administrator and she got suspended.....my lord the jws are going to be shouting great trib over this.

I read this account on a local news report as I also read the locals opinions. First My heart goes to this child, he is only 6 years old and kept trying to recite his reasons he was taught to the children. I had teachers, especially substitutes who did the same thing to me. it is wrong to do this to a child. It is wrong by the religion, parents and teachers. The local opinions told me what the people think of JWs. JWs were called many names, the top two was the old standby communist, unAmerican , and the new one to me Taliban and people were calling for JWs to leave this country. JWs will be convinced persucution has started. This incident will stay with that child for the rest of his life.

I hate being ugly!

i finally came to the realization that i am ugly.

i'm 28 years old and never had a girlfriend.

women pay me absolutely no attention when i'm in public.

In my experience looks are more important to JWs than others. Work on your inner self, become the guy people like to hang with and the girl problem will be solved.
