  Today is Father's Day in the US

  I just bought my husband his first fathers day card from me. We will be married 48 years next month. I was thinking this morning how I never gave my father a card. It hurts now to think of my father a non JW never being acknowleged. Dad I lost you 31 Years ago but I love you

  maybe this was already covered here.

  i've been absent a bit more than usual.. at qualcomm stadium, home of the chargers and the "special arrangement" with san diego which means they use the venue for free, you are not allowed to bring a tarp in the 80 degree sunshine, nor a large umbrella.. mercifully however, you may bring a small one person umbrella you can hold or perhaps vice to the seat, but if someone asks you to take it down, you are to oblige.

  san diego is freaking out over this i can assure you.

  1971 Dodger Stadium memories. Never Again. 3 months Pregnant a 3 year old child and terrible heat. It should never have happened. And millions of steps.

  Has anyone ever saved another persons life?

  i don't mean you advised them and they changed their lives around, kind of saving a life.. i mean right before your eyes, right now, you had to do something to save a person or they would be dead.. how did it make you feel?

  did it have any affect on you?.

  forty years ago i was working on a construction site and a back-hoe had loosened a large boulder.

  Flipper I was at that assembly, she was a very kind and loving sister. She was in my life like family from my birth until her death.

  i believe that the older you are the harder it is to leave the watchtower.. .

  i am attempting to get a list of ages people learnt the "truth" and what age they left.. .

  Born in, baptized at 14, wanted to leave at 16 but didn't want to disappoint mother, left finally at 45 didn't learn ttatt until 64 finally totally free at 66.

  About Human Birth- (Which I've just seen) First Child today

  i have seen many witnesses with 4,5,6,7 kids.

  no problem with that.

  they are mostly loving families but today i experianced the birth of my son.. the emotions of my wife... the pain... the fear... the hope combined with the joy of the birth and seeing my wife reaction when she held the baby was well balanced.. .

  Julia I also just read your writing. So many memories are forming. 1947 grandfather died i d2d work. Baptised in 1933. 1964 Grandmother died faithful. 2006 Mother died faithful. Now 2014 a sibling is mid 70s. These 4 plus many other family members died while expecting to live forever. And yes your are right JWs taught Millions now Livong will never die. Family pictures show my aunts standing in front of those signs. Now only one aunt is still alive waiting to survive Armegeddon. Her children are 67 & 66. It has been a long wait for my family.

  i found on another thread a quote from awake 1967 aug 22,page 27-28. it's from an article where the wt proves that women should acquiesce to their husbands.

  within the article i found something that suggests more intellectual dishonesty from the wt writers.. that it is in the best interests of both.

  sexes for man to take the lead is also supported.
