Any other teenagers on here?
by BlackWolf ini'm 16 and it seems like most the people on this forum are adults.
i would think since most teenagers have tablets/smartphones there would be more on here but maybe not?
it would be nice to meet some other young people.

Stan beat me too it. I am a teen at heart. I wish I knew some teens for you but the teens I know now were raised as ordinary teens without all the restrictions. -

Last night's talk re sisters wearing head covering, puke making!
by purrpurr indear sisters,.
when you are fortunate enough to be in the presence of a jw penis you must take care to show the proper respect for it!
doesn't matter if said penis is prepubescent!

if God is so down with women why did he give us an equal brain to think and make decisions. Sorry I am pissed. I grew up trying to hide my intellect from brothers. Now my husband knows I am quite capable of handling most problems. -

Terry I went to my last JW funeral a year ago. I feltloved by some and new others didnt want to be near me. This last experience will haunt me for life but I needed to say goodbye to my cousin and best friend. You got to say goodbye to your long time friend. You were able to support his family. And your family. Take rime to grieve. -

Brought tears to my eyes. I had many similar experiences, I believe we never entirely leave them behind. They are still with me at 68 as they are still with Keith. -

Chip your story and my sons story are very close. The difference is he never went to Bethel. His father and I never encouraged it. He is now married to his husband for 2 years but have been together for 20. His dad and I chose to leave JWs so no one could try to break our family apart. We now live happy content lives -

Do you think JWN members would be surprised if they got to know you in real life?
by nicolaou ini don't think you'd recognise me much at all.
i'm a royal mail postman, i love my job for the early starts and midday finish, the outdoors and the exercise.. i get on with people but i'm quite insular and don't enjoy crowds.
i'm happiest when i've fired up the charcoal and i'm making souvlaki or adana kebabs for my family and a few close friends.

My personality has done a 180 in the last 8 years. The farther I remove myself from my former JW life The more pleasant and true to myself I have become. I have left the introverted person behind and now find myself starting up conversations with strangers. what made the difference I have moved across country where all things JW are behind me by 2000+ miles. Happy for the new me but sad I couldn't be me for the first 60 years.
