Not to be negative or anything, but when the Dateline segment airs, I doubt that it will have much of an impact on the run-of-the mill dub. I thought the UN scandal would have shook things up, and it did on a small scale, but knowledge of such did not change the opinion of many die-hard dubs. I speak from experience. I shared this with a few of my JW relatives and their attitude was that the society must have had their reasons and until Jehovah spoke from heaven against them, they were staying put.

Memorial attendance down?
by TweetieBird inlast night 3 congregations met at the assembly hall for the memorial.
there were just a little over 800 there which really surprised me.
in past years every congregation around here usually had at least 300 in attendance.

Hey Joel,
Saw John at the Memorial last night. He looks good. If I ever come across a picture, I'll let you know.

Adam,
You have every right to your opinion about Gina-that's how you see it. I agree with you about Rob, playing the game very well, I just don't like him.
This Survivor is different than the others so far, very unpredictable.

Ooh, i disagree with you about Gina. She was dealing with idiots in her former tribe-mates. I didn't blame her a bit for what she said. In fact, I hope she wins the whole thing. Besides, she's a Florida girl, doesn't live too far from me.

I, too was surprised about Hunter. You've got to give Sean and Rob credit though, they capitalized on a golden opportunity when John told them he was voting Gabe off. I don't really care for either one of those guys, but give credit where credit is due.
I think John is going to be the next to go, though which is fine with me. I think he's a snake.

I spoke to my mom and she said that they had just a little over 200 at hers.

Could the Society buy it's way out of exposure?
by TweetieBird inreading another thread about pedophiles and dateline, the thought occured to me that maybe the society would buy some advertising from nbc with the stipulation that nothing negative be aired about them.
is that possible?
i've always been from the school that money can buy anything!

Mr. Moe,
I had always thought they were against advertising too, but several months ago someone posted that they had actually seen a commercial by the witnesses and called Brooklyn about it. They were told that in some areas, they were trying it out (or something to that effect). I will try to find the thread. -
