Thanks. A little freaked out though cause she lives on site and she's ballsy enough to continue living there. She always said that if she got fired she would cause trouble.

WOW-crazy day at work. Congrats to me???
by TweetieBird insharing my wild day at work today because it is 1am and i can't sleep.. i am an assistant manager at an apartment community.
the manager has been a complete nightmare (bipolar and incompetent) so the last 10 months have been challenging to say the least.
got to work this morning and our regional was already there which was a little strange but half expected due to something that happened last week.

A mistake in fading 4 months ago is coming back to haunt me... HELP!!
by ILoveTTATT inso today, two elders from a congregation i was in two years ago came by the house.
they said they wanted to talk to me about things that they have heard, and that they want to talk to me very quickly, as soon as possible.
perhaps before this week ends.. i don't know what to do!!

A friend of mine avoided the elders when she started dating a "worldly" man and she was not "scripturally free". She didn't care about getting df'd or anything, just didn't want to get dragged through the kangaroo court and was hoping they would just df her in her absence. She even sent one of the elders an email saying that she had done the deed with her new boyfriend and as far as I know, nothing was ever done. That was about 3 years ago.
So, if you don't meet with them, they probably won't do anything. Just make excuses for not meeting them and maybe they will back off.

I am an assistant manager at an apartment community. The manager has been a complete nightmare (bipolar and incompetent) so the last 10 months have been challenging to say the least. Got to work this morning and our regional was already there which was a little strange but half expected due to something that happened last week. I walked back into the kitchen to find the HR person (from out of state) making coffee. I said hi to her and asked her if someone was getting fired. She looked at me strange.
The manager showed up a little while later (late as usual) so I asked her if she knew they were coming to which she said, "no". Long story short, a few hours later they escorted her out of the building with her personal belongings and promoted me to manager.
It was a true WTF moment. They brought the rest of the staff in and told us that she was pursuing other opportunities (unemployment compensation would be my guess) and that I am now the boss.
So here I am wide awake at 1am, rebounding from the 3 glasses of wine that I had when I got home, no doubt, and head spinning out of control trying to figure out my new job. She left me with a drawer full of unfinished projects and 500 emails to sort through.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Faith in God should not be weak because of a wicked organization?!
by Mr Fool ini feel it strange that many here is here because of the wt organizations lies, contradictions etc (?!).
a deep and personal belief in god should not stand or fall because of a wicked organization that manipulate people.
i have a feeling that other christians in other organizations are more stable in their belief.

Doc hit the nail on the head, especially for me as a born-in. I have tried to go to other churches after leaving but they were so demonized to me as a kid, it's very difficult and I've been out for a while.

Planting Seeds--Plants Do Not Grow Overnight
by blondie ini see some post here that want family and friends to see ttatt immediately.. i'm a gardener, a serious one.
we make sure we put in an area that gets sun, check the soil each year, put in compost and other amendments, make sure we plant seeds compatible with the ones next to them, plant far enough apart, proper amount of water.
everything can be perfect but when i go out the day after planting...nothing has broken through yet.

Great post, Blondie (as usual).
To IloveTTATT-my dad was the first one to awaken in my family and he tried to show me ttatt but I was like your mom. I was actually relieved when he died because I felt like Jehovah would forgive his apostasy and resurrect him. However, after he died, little by little the things he shared with me started to sink in and my own awakening happened. That was 16 years ago.
My brother is the only other one in my family that listened to my dad (actually he started leaving before my dad). My husbands whole family are still die-hard JWs who are saddened by our leaving. I don't even try to talk to them anymore about ttatt. After a while, you build a life outside of the organization and the freedom that you feel outweighs the sadness. I love my family but I don't have anything in common with them anymore.

"Take Me As I Am" (a song by Rumer)
by Rufus T. Firefly ini was deeply touched by a story titled i escaped a cult, and it ruined my life by rachel mirante saavedr which she posted on facebook.
in it she makes the point that, to jws, "love is absolutely conditional.
" it was my experience, too, that the concept of unconditional love is totally rejected by jws, and, thinking back, that may well have been the very first discrepancy i perceived between the christ-like personality and what i observed within the jw culture.

I just discovered her recently while watching, "Live from Daryl's House". She has a beautiful voice. She did this song on the show.
Here is the link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqgmTGQ8MIU
But what really blew me away was her doing this song, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5hzeKlRYNM

Has the organization changed their policy toward inactive ones?
by TweetieBird infor the past few years, family members and long time friends have pretty much ignored us because we don't go to meetings.
recently, my sister (a regular pioneer) asked me to friend her on facebook, my mother-in-law (a regular pioneer) actually visited us and stayed in our home and another friend that i haven't heard from in years just asked me to friend her on facebook.
just curious..

I was just curious. I finally got to the point where having my family and close friends ignore me didn't bother me and now they are back in my life.
