  Do family/relatives still hound you about going back? what do they/you say?

  no lie 10 years after i left, my family still thinks i'm coming back one day, get a grip, the last conversation i had, i kinda lost it a bit with my mom, and more or less said why would i go back, when russell/rutherford made everything up as they went along.

  well that was a conversation stopper, and my brother/sister called alittle while back, i mentioned the un thing, child abuse scandals, and a few other things, i am not kidding, they pretended that they new nothing and that these things probaly never happened, just the media making up stories, how do you reason with that ???

  i said :" well don't take their word for it, investigate yourself so you know, and read the entire watchtower history 1879-2003, read it yourself, if you are not willing to then shut up !

  I relate to you all. My family does the same thing. But after reading Blondie's thread on unconditional love (the one with VOMIT in it) I was thinking that at least my family talks to me even though I am inactive. Maybe they think that if there is still hope that you will come back to the org,t hen it is o.k. to have contact with you. I love my family and I will deal with the hounding. The alternative would hurt to much.

  i just wanted to make a post to thank twolips for sending me a copy of the new, "learn from the great teacher" book!.

  i have plans for it.

  i hope to get some professionals to go on the record about this book.

  I thought it was done nicely too. I have not seen a society book for children that had a place to put their names in. Please keep us informed on what the professionals have to say about it.

  it is a rare movie that evokes spontaneous applause from the audience -- twice!

  -- but this one did... and yours truly clapped right along with them.

  a very fine movie with a very good message.

  It's something I never would of thought of seeing. But I saw a documentary of Seabiscuit a while back, and it's on my must see list.

  I hope they captured the love between man and beast like it was it real life is there.

  Because I do believe there are connections.

  I know how you feel.

  life for me would be so easy if I could just go back to the KH.

  I can't go back, I have learned and experienced to much. But the ideal they sell, isn't it a great one? Live forever, but do it by their rules.

  I miss my time being a brain dead dub. But the values they did teach me go on. Just not as damaging or horrible.

  I know how you feel about the ones who post here, but there are good ones. And isn't it great we can decide who we associate with? Not the black and white of the society?

  I don't think you will last one month back in dubland, But get a new life out of the JW'S and the EX JW'S.

  I have a question about the assemblies.

  when i was young (er) the society said the army came to the assemblies to observe how they fed the flock.. my question is, even though the asemblies were much more grander then now, with the food distribution ending and all, feeding thousands of people.

  now they bring their own lunches.......i regress...does anyone remember how the military was in awe of us?.
