  Did you get to see them sing again, after what some 20 years at the tsunami releif concert in Hyde park (i think)? I actually teard up

  After finding a 5.00 bill on the street I went and purshesed my fist record ever and it was Pink Floyd.

  What are your family favorite movies?

  you know, the ones you bothered to buy when they came out on video.... the kids have the next week and a half off, and i am looking for input on silly, funny, quirky movies to watch with the fam.

  thought i'd start with raising arizona for today for it's sheer silliness, plus i adore nicholas cage.. any suggestions?.

  I'd have to say Raising Arizona too. We have been watching that one for years.

  Princess Bride is up there too as the Three Cabilleros with Donald Duck . We loved to sing along. ....we're three happy chappies.. I always find some double meaning in that one lol.

  What's the worst response a person ever said to you in the field service?

  i remember knocking on a door in the field service, and the girl who answered the door, looked at me and said in french, "allez vous faire crosser" .

  although i didn't laugh, i found it very funny.

  the brother with me also had a smile on his face, but didn't say a word, as we walked back to the car.

  I was a teen working alone and after knocking on the door a dog came running towards me so got in-between the screen door and the regular door for fear . A lady opened her door and I fell in and said sorry Mam , Your dog scared me and she said it doent like Jehovahs witnessses.

  Wife wants my 12 year old to have her own study. Strategy?

  awhile back i was smart enough to tell my wife i didn't want anybody instructing the children outside the home.

  i tried to make some other changes, such as the kids go to church with me every other weekend.

  well my 12 year old has been thoroughly indoctrinated to believe that other churches are satan!

  You mentioned her teenage years bringing change... They can . But from what I have seen from my kids and their friends, when they start doing the so called wrong things and they are still believers , they are heaped with guilt. This can really mess with their heads. Maybe feeling, well I have made Jehovah mad so I am doomed , so I might as well do what ever. A real careless or self distructive mind set.

  I let my children be exposed thinking when they grow up they can make their own choice. I regret this. They are haunted inactive believers.

  jws use magazines etc for studying the bible; cws use the bible itself for reading.

  jws stay focused on lots of rules; cws focus on the principles of love, joy etc.

  This is interesting for me too.

  It is not something I want, but I have friends that are no longer apart of JWS and I think they would like to be apart of something with out all the organizational garbage and just uses the bible. I will pass it onto them.
