Line 4100 cash. In 2006 about 50 million. In 2013 25 million. It's interesting to note in the year 2011 they started donating 10 million per year to charities. Who thinks that 30 million decline in cash on hand went to mother?

I took my family for a weekend trip to a lake in Oklahoma a few weeks ago. The area is right at the end of where the "Trail of Tears" (I don't know if human atrocities should be in paretheses, italics, or underlined. Yes, I have a dark sense of humor.) So we were taking a tour of an old Native American camp and listened to a presentation by a park ranger. It was very informative and interesting. Growing up I was always told that one of my ancestors a few generations ago were Native Americans. I told my children this and they were very excited and wanted to know more so I fired up the ole interweb and went to ancestory.com
It took a little while looking through old published records and I could not find any records of us being of Native American decent. Then I noticed something strange. One of my ancestors was born with one name and died with another. I looked over this quickly and didn't think about it much. I was laying in bed about to go to sleep. So I jumped up and ran to the computer to login. The person's name was Goldberg. No way right!!!!!! I was able to trace Mrs. Goldberg back several hundred years.
I was astonished. Everyone lied there was no Native American blood in our family we are semitic. It explains why every once in awhile one of us, including myself and one of my children were born with olive skin and curly hair. I always thought the olive skin tones came from the Native Americans. I grew up in a pretty redneck part of the world. I quess it would be easier to be Native American than Semitic. I am not pushing a for profit web page here, but Ancestory.com had some very interesting results for me.
I want to reasearch this more. I find this very interesting. What originally was a family trip to understand American History better turned into a trip of self discovery and a lesson on world history. My girls and I are reading all kinds of books on Jews through history. Everyday they ask if I found something else. So much fun.

I watched this video the other day and would like to add some comments.
I have a team of 3 P.Es that work for me. Sometimes, I have a few guys who will contract when things get busy. A few times a year, I may ask my guys (and gal) to work 60,70,80,90, or every hour during a week. I do not know of any established engineer where this is the norm for every week. It is harder on the younger guys, but this is called proving your worth. Almost every professional has a period of time of "over doing it".
I put myself in the bosses shoes and thought about how I would face a professional employee wanting to work when it was convenient for him. In my head, I would say F&^% off!!!!!!!! Someone telling me that would make me so angry and heres why. As a part of a team everyone must pull his or her wieght in order to get the project done on time. If I was to tell Dave it would be okay for him to cut back on his hours, I would be asking everyone else to work and be away from thier families more. Is that fair? Just because one guy's wife forgot it is her husband's long hours that pay for her very comfortable lifestyle? I damn sure wouldn't go into my personal life and tell the guy, "I wish I would have saved my family". (As a side note Ms. Defiant even with 10% less brain power than me knows where her bread is buttered. She doesn't complain about what I do. She understands what it means to our family. I am so greatful because of her support)
For any witnesses who saw this and thought, "I need to confront my boss just like this guy did." Here's what would really happen. I would tell Dave I am very sorry he feels this way. I will do everything to make it better for him. I would ask him to send me an email stating what schedule he would be able to work. (This would put him in violation of the employment agreement I have with all my employees. My agreement states you will do whatever job I ask at whatever time.) I would ask him to continue as normal for a few weeks so I could move somethings around to accommodate his request. I value his work and all of the things he has done for me and reasure him I will get on this right away. After he left my office, I would call My DO and tell him to come see me and close the door when he comes into my office. I would tell him Dave has lost his mind to his cult we need to start looking for his replacement immediately. I would keep Dave on his same schedule until I got a new person hired and trained. I would then tell Dave I am not able to meet his request as per his email. John here has no problem doing whatever I ask, whenever I ask. See you.......
I am sure someone will say that's cruel, but it is the most fair thing to everyone else but Dave. I can't throw multiple people under the bus to make his wife happy.

It seems people are trying to use differnt theories together in this post. The question must be asked within a specific construct to be answerable. Steven Hawking's "Illistrated Guide To Everything" explains this in some detail through multiple schools of thought. I think thermal dynamics answers this question the best.
One poster wrote E=MC 2 does not contain a function of time. This is false. The "c" stands for the speed of light. Speed is the measure of change in position over time. eg. 15 MPH

Writing campaign to Washington DC papers in view of International Convention
by Londo111 inive heard from a credible source that the landover (dc) international convention is important to the society in view of the 100 year anniversary of "kingdom rule" and the location being near the capital of the "seventh world power".
perhaps they hope this particular international sends a message.
we know that come convention time usually there is some feel good fluff piece in the newspapers about the watchtower religion.

Every stadium is owned my three groups. Universities, private groups, or government agencies. It would be so easy to call say Mercedes and ask them why the Super Dome in New Orleans supports people who openly cast aspersions and ritualistly shun homosexuals. Call their PR groups and ask them if they will go on record as to if they support this kind of activity or not. Here is the truth. In the open, they will not say anything. In truth, they have no control over who uses the convention centers. They are only the sponsers of the venues, but in a back room somewhere a German business man will ask the city please do not use these people anymore. We do not wish our name to be associated with a cult.
I called a University a few years ago. I asked if Dr. Defiant could speak to the Pres. of the University. I told him my back story of how I was punished by the cult for getting a higher education. He told me JW's do not stop their members from going to college. I asked him for his email. I sent from JW.org every article on higher education for him to read. A few hours later, he called me back and apologized for the misunderstanding and said he would look into the JW's use of his facilities.
The wonderful thing about this situtation is that the JW's hang themselves in the court of public opinion with their own literature.

Sad Parents Who Threw Away Their Child
1801 Desperation St.
Cultsville, TN 98432
Dear Upset Parents
I have been deeply bothered over our last telephone conversation. As per our last conversation on 04/21/2015, you requested more time with your Grandchildren. You accused me of holding them hostage from you. My conscience does bother me over this issue. Not that I feel I have done anything wrong, but it is sad you are not in my children's lives. I will see if we can rectify this situation. Dad you were an abusive father to me. Physically, mentally, and emotionally you tortured me for years. There is no way under any circumstances I would ever allow you to have unsupervised visitation of my children. Mom I will not allow you this privilege either because of your subjection to my father. You will do anything he says. I am sorry even if you promised me Dad wouldn’t be there, I would not allow the visitation. Your religion preaches “Theocratic Warfare Strategy.”( The Watchtower teaches that it is appropriate to withhold the truth from "people who are not entitled to it" if it will further their ends (Reed, 1992, also Franz, 1971, p. 1060-1061) I know what could happen even if you promised not to allow it you could be ordered to lie to “further your ends”.
Let’s get a few things straight.
1)If anyone ever threatens legal action to insure his or her grandparent rights again, I will use every asset at my disposal to insure this never happens. I know you do not have the means to make such a threat to come into fruition, but if even mentioned again it will prove to me, you don’t really want this and you will never speak to my children again. They see you so little it would make very little impact on their lives. I will remind you they have only seen you 4 times in 4 years and 3 of those time was the funerals of one of their great grand parents. As a reminder, “Bob the contractor whom you’ve known for years” tried to sneak past an unapproved change order for $1,500.00 through my billing system. I have kept that issue in court for five years at an expense to me of $30,000.00 plus. Please call him and ask him how he likes facing me in court and ask yourself what would I do to protect my children.
2) No more lies. Every time you call which is about twice a year, I hear one of you guys are in serious health decline. I have heard loupes, cancer, MS, and leukemia. I do have an individual who still knows you. They see you involved in various activities which would point to good health. When I ask what your prognosis is, what stage you are in, and who is your doctor I am never given an answer. I know your trying to manipulate me with guilt. This has been your tactic for over a decade. This tactic will not work. I have made my peace.
3) I want for you to tell my children the reason you do not talk to me. “Your dad turned his back on Jehovah” will not work. You have to tell them details. “Your dad meet your mom and when she became pregnant with the oldest child your father refused to hide you from your grandparents religion. He was given the option of never mentioning you and staying in a communicative position with his life long family and friends or he could tell people about you. Your dad picked telling the entire world about you, a decision he would make a thousand times again.”
4) If you do not feel comfortable with me being at “my house” during your visit, we can arrange for your visitation when I am out of town as we did the last time. I am fine with that arrangement. If as during your previous visit, you decide to drive six hours to see my children and you only stay 3 hours you will never visit again. You are welcome to stay as long as you like, but it has to be at least one night. You can stay in the main house or if you wish you may stay in the pool house it has all amenities and accommodations the main house does. You can stay in privacy if that is the reason. Yes I know my wife was mad at you when you came the last time. That is because you arranged to come the day before only to no show and no call at the day of your arrival. Dad I know your are uncomfortable with women as aggressive as my wife. She is my equal. I know this is a concept you are not accustomed to, but you have to get over your objections. You were rude as a person can be to their son’s spouse. You did not apologize and she told you off for being rude. You were not the person whom cancelled all their plans so your husband’s estranged parents could see their grandchildren. You were not the person whom had to tell their excited children they did not know why grandmother and grandfather didn’t show up. (Noticed how the children were excited over your visit. If we had degraded you to them they would not feel this way)
5)If I hear one more time you have told someone “Defiant won’t let us see the grandchildren” all bets are off. You may instruct people we are having differences and are trying to work out your visitation of the children. As mentioned before, there is a mole in your mist. This individual tells me everything about you. If I find you are still telling people I am the one who is keeping you from the children so you can play the role of the victim, there will be serious repercussions for this behavior. Everyone will know Our secrets.
Also, I have created email accounts for my children. They do not have access to the emails, but I send them emails at least once a week. When they turn 18 I will give them the passwords and they can read all the stuff I send them. I was going to CC them this letter, but I do not want you to have their email address. So, I am going to take a screen shot of this letter after I send it to you from my sent box. I am going to create a jpeg of the image. A jpeg is a digital photograph. It will prove you have received this letter and I have reached out to you in a reasonable manner for you to rectify this situation. They will know I did not keep you away. They will know you stayed away.
Sincerely yours,
Defiant.

Do You Like or Dislike Algebra? Why and Why not?
by Scott77 injuly 28, 2012is algebra necessary?by andrew hacker .
a typical american school day finds some six million high school students and two million college freshmen struggling with algebra.
in both high school and college, all too many students are expected to fail.

Is algebra necessary? Let's see. What gas mileage does my car get? What will the annual cost of ownership be? What is my return on investment? How much Gatorade powder do I need to add for a 5 gallon mix? Algebra is a very important aspect of life. It does very well in these types of problems. I am still amazed at the solutions one can arrive to with DE math. And yes if one does not have the algebra down it makes the high level math a whole lot harder.

I have always been a big fan of Roger. I think he is past his prime which is sad. That being said I love to watch Murrey play. I became a fan a few years ago when he almost won Wimbleton and lost in the finals Only to come back a month latter and win the olympics games there for singles. He seems like a nice guy too. I'm with you on Sharapova, although there may be reasons I like her that have nothing to do with her athletic abilities.

Has anyone ever saved another persons life?
by LogCon ini don't mean you advised them and they changed their lives around, kind of saving a life.. i mean right before your eyes, right now, you had to do something to save a person or they would be dead.. how did it make you feel?
did it have any affect on you?.
forty years ago i was working on a construction site and a back-hoe had loosened a large boulder.

I was at a birthday party for a friend's kid. Lots of people I didn't know there. I was having a few beers when I noticed one kid about 8 was holding another kid about 3 under water in the pool. I got a running start and cleared about half the pool as I jumped in. I grabbed the kid who was under water and blue and threw him on to the edge of the pool. When his back hit the ground, water shot from his mouth, he started breathing again and his normal color returned. I turned around to yell at the other kid and saw blood everywhere. Evidently (TM), my elbow caught the little shit in the face. His parents acted like I owed the attempted murderer an apology. He received none and I was never invited back. The blue kid's parents were grateful though.
I was working in a mill once which had its own generator which produced 230kv. I watch a guy get to close to the field. When I tried to yell at him he caught an arch from about 8 ft away from the wires. Another guy and I used CPR for about 5 min until the mill medic arrived. He was throughly cooked, but returned to work about a year later with a limp.
A neighbor once fell off his tractor and the implement ran over his leg and almost removed it. I wrapped his leg in a towel and called for help. I was the only person around for miles. If I wouldn't have noticed a driverless tractor running across my fence he would have died.
