There is a "special" code given to the hounder's and wannabe hounder's so they can get letters from "mother" and other information that the R&F jw is not supposed to be privy to. (hahahaha get the double meaning on words?...privy...) That said, there is no use registering for any account, there is no way one can contact the clowns in suits via email. At least in many attempts I have made all I get is my default email to open with no possible way to find out or enter an email address for them. Totally useless, and as stated already, communication with them is ONE WAY only.

Instructions To Elders Re: Pursuing Higher Education
by baldeagle inunderlining is mine.. march 6, 2012 letter.
pursue divine education:some of our brothers are pursuing higher education, feeling that they can acquire a measure of financial security.
as you are aware, the educational system varies from country to country.

They feel it opens up a whole can of worms, resentment, judging, favoritism etc.
That is just SOP for the hounders. If they couldn't use their position to foment resentment, judge, or show favoritism they would not want to be eldurrs at all.

Sighhhhhhhh, the Draw Close to Jehovah book again for the Congregation Bible Study.
by Stand for Pure Worship incheck out this gem from the dec 2013 km which explains why it's good to over this book a second go round.. "congregations previously considered this book during 2004 and 2005. however, for many of the approximately two million publishers who have come into the truth since then, this will be the first time that jehovahs endearing qualities have been discussed in detail.for those who studied the book before, the review will help them to deepen their appreciation forjehovahs attributes.ps.119:14".
i gotta kick out of this because i can only think of maybe two or three new ones in our congregation who weren't present when this book was first studied.
at the same time, going over jehovah's qualities isn't something new.

thats also where they get all the attendance numbers for the memorial count the kids.
So very true! Back in the days before I became a piztjw I was "privileged" to count the attendees at the meetings. I counted those who appeared to be listening. Not those who were sound asleep, not the two day old newborns, and not the pre-school brats who were busily coloring their Jack and the beanstalk coloring books. I was royally chewed out for that and told that EVERY body was to be counted! When I asked how someone asleep, a baby, or kids coloring could be considered as actually ATTENDING to the meeting I was told my efforts were no longer needed as I was being argumentative against the BOE. What a bunch of crap!

*** g 6/08 p. 11 When Is Self-Defense Justified? ***
When You Are Threatened
Pursuing peace does not guarantee that you will never face violent attack. Faithful worshippers of God throughout history have been victims of violent crime. (Genesis 4:8; Job 1:14, 15, 17) If a person is confronted by an armed robber, what should he do? Jesus instructed: “Do not resist him that is wicked.” (Matthew 5:39) He also said: “From him that takes away your outer garment, do not withhold even the undergarment.” (Luke 6:29) Jesus did not condone use of physical weapons to defend material possessions. If confronted by an armed robber, a wise person will not resist giving up his valuables. Surely, life is far more precious than belongings!
On the other hand, what if a person’s life is threatened by an assailant? A law that God gave to ancient Israel sheds light on this. If a thief was caught in the daytime and was killed, the assailant would be charged with murder. This was evidently because thievery did not carry the death penalty and the thief could have been identified and brought to justice. However, if an intruder was fatally struck at night, the householder could be exonerated because it would be difficult for him to see what the intruder was doing and to ascertain the intentions of the intruder. The householder could reasonably conclude that his family was under threat of harm and take defensive action.—Exodus 22:2, 3.
The Bible thus indicates that a person may defend himself or his family if physically assaulted. He may ward off blows, restrain the attacker, or even strike a blow to stun or incapacitate him. The intention would be to neutralize the aggression or stop the attack. This being the case, if the aggressor was seriously harmed or killed in such a situation, his death would be accidental and not deliberate.
The Best Protection
Clearly, there are circumstances under which reasonable self-defense is justified. People have a right to protect themselves and their loved ones from aggression and deadly harm. When escape is not possible, there is no Biblical injunction against reasonably defending ourselves. Still, the course of wisdom would be to do our best to avoid situations with a potential for violence.—Proverbs 16:32.
I have a good selection of both hunting weapons and handguns. The handguns are legally carried, and loaded with PDA. I refuse to be a victim at the whim of imperfect humans who likely never have to face anything more dangeroous than a free airplane flight to thier next paid vacation...err convention speaking assignment.

Prepare for meetings??
by Jen1 indo you prepare for meetings?
if i go i spend a few minutes underlinging my books/watchtower.. i have noticed that those who do the micks especially notice when your stuff is not underlined, and comments are made after the meeting, not so gentle hints, about study and preperation!
in other words i am being told off, its usually the ones who are highly critical of everything i do, sometimes their whole family seems to be straining to see if my stuff is underlined, i know this because i heard the daughter to family wisper her watchtower is not underlined!.

both elders with critical wives and highly judgmental teenage daughters.
I know what you mean. Back in the day when I still cared enough to "reach out" and was a WT reader, a couple of the eldurrs complained to the P.O. (who happened to be a close friend) that I didn't prepare ahead of time because they saw that my WT wasn't all highlighted and scribbled in the margins like theirs were. He actually stood up for me and told them if they LISTENED to my reading and the personal comments I made they would realize I was much more prepared than their sons or other fair haired boys who couldn't read a sentence accurately or with meaning, and didn't comment at all.
It's all a game of politics. Thankfully I have quit playing their little games, jumping through their self-righteous hoops and now can be a thorn in their side just merely by filling a chair occasionally.
I took the approach as above, that I just don't write in my books and that doesn't mean I've not pre-read or pre-studied it. Especially if I'm reading for the congregation do I not want scribbles and lines all over the page.
Exactly!

DEC 2013 WT Article - Slave for Jehovah - warning: ranting ahead
by ohnightdivine inthis morning's wt study almost made me vomit, stand up, pick up my bag and rush to the door.. of course it never happened.
instead, i was able to make some nice drawings on my tablet and notepad.. if you replace the name jehovah with watchtower, or the governing 8 men, it would really make sense.. what's up with all that nonstop guilt-mongering about education and having a decent job?!.
most people look down on the uneducated, and i remember, when i didn't have a job, nobody cared!.

According to one of the local young brothers, whoops I mean brown-nosers, advanced education is okay IF it is used ONLY for the WTB&T$ in the form of free labor. Now I wonder who in their right mind.....Oh, I answered my question already.....never mind.

Society stating they have no special Holy Spirit
by cognac ini remember them stating something to that affect.
does anybody know where this was said?.
-
piztjw
They do not believe that they necessarily have more holy spirit than their companions of the other sheep have; nor do they expect special treatment or claim that their partaking of the emblems places them above the appointed elders in the congregation.
Except we as the Big 8. We have more holy spirit than you. We expect better treatment and deference to us, and all of you need to recognize that we are much higher in status than mere local elders! If you don't believe this, just ask us. And you will be damned if you disagree with what we say, regardless of what we have written.

Do You Think Anyone Looks Down On People Who Commit "Fornication"?
by minimus ini think only in strict religious circles, is it considered taboo.. does someone's "fornicating" bother you?.
-
piztjw
Just curious, what do JWs say about fornication between married couples? Is it just supposed to be missionary get it over with style or is it ok for married couples to get kinky
It isn't in print, but what I have found is the belief that the ONLY approved method of sex is to be between a married man and woman, only on Tuesday or Thursday night, after 10 P.M., in the missionary position, and using no hands.
Sorry bunch of prudes!

post meeting dirty moods.
by zeb inso you are 'out' and the other in 'in'.
do they come home with the grumps after every meeting?.
-
piztjw
Not so much leaving the meeting, but before the ones I manage to drag myself to(for appearance sake) I usually find myself in a pretty black, foul mood. The idea that I am going to be in the midst of eldurrs who don't really shive a git about anything other than their personal prominence, "sisters" who are always whining about some ailment or another and crying around looking for sympathy because no self respecting man will lower his standards to pursue their fat, lazy, welfare leaching asses, ill behaved half-wit children who are like demon spawned hellions, and of course the young "men" who have a serious case of perma-brown on their noses from being shoved up the hounder's asses so far that if the eldurr turned suddenly they would suffer a broken nose, just piss me off.
Why do I do it? Because I have yet family that I am not willing to cut loose and lose all contact with. Besides I kind of enjoy being a thorn in the side of the holier-than-thou hypocrites!
